Roughly 1.05 second cast time WHILE invisible, and yet if pro reflex gamers manage to interrupt the cast, it’s cooldown is reduced from 6 to 3!! Additionally, if I line of sight the ability, she can just keep holding it. THEN it should go on a 3 second cooldown.
a hack that doesn’t interrupt a specific, important ability doesn’t even matter.
if your sombras are hacking first every time then your sombras are basically announcing themselves and formally inviting you to a gun fight instead of just shoot virus shooting you
Nope, She isn’t invisible while she does it. Hack decloaks you while you are casting, you vanish it again after but she doesn’t hack WHILE invisible.
Her win rate is sub 50% so, they are not going to be nerfing her without buffing other parts of her kit. Which is ALSO why they have the reduced cooldown, it is just to try to get her win rate up without it being something more annoying.
And I’m not sure you want that to happen.
So what if they made it so she couldn’t disrupt Tank mobility abilities that are currently active?
I.e. Rein charge, Doom Slam, Ball Pile Drive, Ball Ball Form
Then they would have to buff some other part of the kit.
I mean, I don’t mind, but… it is where to put that power is the tricky part.
How about 2 sec cooldown on translocator if it’s casted and used, while stealthed
I don’t know, I really don’t. It could work. As usual it is a try it and see.
Ball and doom should get half there mobility cooldowns refunded if stunned out of it.
Makes just as much sense as sombras baby mode refund mechanics

I don’t know, I really don’t. It could work.
Mostly I think a lot of people would like it, because mobility is just inherently Fun.
Sure, if they are low enough on win rate they need the help, sure…
Noone with a fully functional brain takes win rate seriously, some of the most meta heros of all time have low win rates due to mirrors and the data that feeds into the stat sites is full of more holes than swiss cheese.

due to mirrors
They would push them towards 50%, but it wouldn’t make it low.

the data that feeds into the stat sites is full of more holes than swiss cheese.
Blizzard has a more complete view, but they are not saying she is strong, and has made comments on the other side.
Expect buffs rather than nerfs there.

Sure, if they are low enough on win rate they need the help, sure…
Do they though?

Genuinely, I think that hack is a bad ability for Sombra’s kit. It’s basically really good at shutting down a few very specific things and kind of terrible in most other situations. It also doesn’t fit her assassin archetype to have that kind of utility. I’d almost rather see a rendition where Sombra gets a slight damage buff against hacked targets, or else where hacked targets grant more ult charge when they get shot, or some kind of utility that encourages / gels with the rest of her playstyle.
People just want her to be a worse Tracer.
And all they gonna see in the patch notes is a Sombra buff
Against players, yes, but not against NPC entities like medpacks and - the actually important one - Torb’s turret.
If Torb’s turret countered her again, it’d provide an outlet for DPS’ frustration in facing Sombra. At the start of season nine, Tracer was running rampant across every rank, and people did not like it. Then the devs buffed Torb’s turret and the complaints about metal rank Tracer stopped in short order. Did people suddenly accept that Tracer should be top dog and that she wasn’t frustrating to play into? I doubt it. I suspect it’s more that people felt like they had options, even if they don’t even go ahead and pick the option.
As for compensation buffs, I’d imagine they’d buff Sombra’s in-combat contribution somewhat. Right now, Sombra doesn’t have a great plan B if the enemy team start working together to drive her off. Perhaps by tightening spread by whatever% and improving fall-off, Sombra wouldn’t become a significantly better assassin but would be better at building up ult charge by playing Sombra:76. Her ult is already one of the best DPS ults in the game, perhaps even the best DPS ult.

I’ve come around on Hack because while it is situational, those situations are so very valuable. Interrupts are uncommon among the DPS and when you want one, you really want one.

the actually important one - Torb’s turret.
I’d be happy there, hell, but remember if it is ALREADY firing at someone it won’t switch targets. But, I’m good with that change. It seems extremely reasonable.
Welcome to Bronze development
I think it’s fine that Torb turret won’t immediately switch to the Sombra. It means that if Sombra has backup in the form of another teammate running interference, she can work around the counter. Which is how it should be, right? People should be able to swap to help their team against characters, but the countered guy can still get value if their own team backs them up.
