So why is Doomfist getting even more buffs and consistency patches?

Now he feels even more awful to play against

They literally made it that slam can work properly that’s not even a buff it’s a bugfix stop whining

Not until other elements of his kit get reduced in power to counterbalance his raw strength and insane combos.

Doomfist is all Cannon with no glass.

This has happened half a dozen times to the point where DF is super clunky and barely functional.

In my opinion, he’s much less clunky now than he was when he had 7 second cooldowns.

Maybe it’s a product of my platform and aim assist, but Doomfist is extremely effective and quite functional on Xbox.

That part about him is smoother, but literally every other ability is worse.

The hero is almost bordering the throw pick tier

Its extremely easy to counter him, and he has been overnerfed

So because a hero is ā€˜good’, they shouldn’t get bugfixes and stuff?

I disagree with the above statement.

He’s not. Decent pickrates and positives winrates in every rank except for Bronze is not ā€œthrowpickā€. It’s not even close.

I don’t know why you keep exaggerating that he’s bad. He doesn’t deserve nerfs and he’s not an unstoppable God, but he’s not as bad as you seem to think he is. And getting indirect buffs + a QoL adjustment is going to increase his power, which may eventually catch up and throw him into overpowered territory depending on how/if the meta shifts at all.

Also lul @ overnerfed. Not even close.

If he gets anymore nerfs he will likely be considered a throw pick at that point

The last nerfs in particular were straight up unnecessary

I agree they’re unnecessary but idgi, are they a nerf or buff? Genuinely asking, because I’m seeing mixed reactions from both Doomfist players and non Doomfist players, and I don’t know what to make of the patch notes (because they’re horribly written).

I meant the previous ones, not the current ones

Which was made his Uppercut recovery time and RP charge time slower

I think the change to make seismic slam reposition the opponents can be considered a slight buff

Is that why he has a below average Elim/death ratio and is the most killed Hero per game on average? Because statistics say you’re wrong.

It is. It won’t be breaking your games though. It’s simply giving Doom the ability to actually follow up on a target he hit directly.

Statistics mean nothing to the individual. In my experience, beyond a certain point (i.e. skill/SR/prestige threshold) it is easy to shut the Doomfist player down, but if I’m not specifically playing a doom counter (or if I’m generally playing any non-Lucio support) the necessary work just doesn’t get done unless I’m queued with masters.

On my platform, GM dooms are unstoppable.

Bugfixes are always needed regardless of the state of the hero - that applies to anyone.

Buffs, not so much.
