So why are lower skill heroes better than high skill heroes?

Moira>Ana
Reaper>Tracer
Orisa>Rein
Doom>Genji
Need I go on? All of these heroes get so much more value than the other even though both are played similarly and worst part is they need much less skill.

I don’t know? Try playing the low skill heroes, you might actually like it. :woman_shrugging:

I question the measuring stick you’re using to calculate how much skill these characters need

The low skill heros i find boring there no challange and when maxed out there arnt that good because when the meta shifts hopefully these lower skill heros would get less value than the higher skill heros when they mastered. But also i think thats the direction blizzard is balancing the game due to the PTR changs

  1. I don’t think Doomfist is a low skill hero.
  2. I don’t think Reaper is better than Tracer.
  3. Reaper is only low-skill when compared to someone like Trace.
  4. Neither Reinhardt nor Orisa are particularly hard to play, but at least Orisa requires tracking aim.
  5. Moira’s getting nerfed next patch.

Moira has mass healing but it’s getting nerfed so we’ll see.
Reaper can actually kill Orisa and Sigma but they’re gettinf nerfed so we’ll see.
Orisa has pull and fortify, but Reinhardt is getting buffed so we’ll see.
Doom is just uber-messed up and Genji can’t do jack to shields, but shields are dying SO WE’LL SEE.

Every interaction you listed is being changed so just wait for the next patch i guess?

doom isn’t low-skill just easier to get value with, also he has one of the best dps abilties in rocket punch.

  1. Doom is definitely lower skill than Genji at the very least, you would need something amazing to convince me otherwise
  2. Reaper does so much more damage than tracer, requires less aim, has one of the best abilities for getting into the backline ever since the buff and has invulnerability
  3. Fair enough
  4. Aim isn’t the only skill
  5. I guess we will see what happens with that

Ana is better than Moira? Moira is being enabled by the meta, and Ana is being hindered by it. Almost like they’re both balanced around different meta types that favour them :o

Reaper was trash from launch until what… Bunker comp? He needed literally every single part of his kit buffed

Wait I thought only aim mattered for “skill”? Why shouldn’t Orisa be better than Reinhardt

Also what? Both Genji and Doomfist are medium tier difficulty at best

It is always the case.

Anything at the top of the meta is by definition the easiest to get value out of.

Because playing high skill heroes doesn’t make you good at high skill heroes?

This is very much an opinion on two heroes with very different playstyles.

They aren’t, except in a given context. For general purposes each of those does better with more skill.

I’d rather play the game than play a hero that effectively plays itself for me.

Then I would say that’s more of a personal issue, don’t you think? If you don’t want to play a hero because you think its “no skill” then that is entirely up to you. You can’t blame the heroes because you don’t like playing them.

All heroes provide value, what you do with it is up to you.

There’s no need to put no skill in quotation marks.
You can just embrace the truth.

Right!

Both Zen and Reinhardt are no skill heroes :3

There is no truth to it. I put skill in quotes because everyone has different ideas about what skill is. I’m not going to generalize it for everyone.

Because the designers can not see ability limit of human brain with control and reflection?
Because they works are busy, so they never had enough time for protice a high skill hero, so they can’t see the limit of human. Somehow, they overestimate skillful players.

None of the heroes are particularly high skilled on their own. The skill comes in the team play.
