This has become such an Arcade crisis, I asked ChatGPT to write a poem about it.
We were built for 4v4, no cap,
Team deathmatch mains, we don’t touch the map.
No payload, no point, just pure click heads,
Now we roam menus like zombies instead.
Blizzard yeeted our joy this patch,
Left us in Quickplay, forced to mismatch.
But we’ll be back, cracked aim intact—
Keyboard warriors, be ready to attack!

Probably because arcade has multiple event modes in it. I’d guess it will be back when the season is over. But also depends when Halloween event comes and possible takes up multiple slots. It’s been like this going back to pretty early ow1. Ctf was my fav mode, and every event it would either not exist, or show up like once a week till the event was over.
Also seems like arcade breaks sometimes in ow2 and just doesn’t rotate for weeks.
Who knows, so much for the devs being more open and communicative.
Whenever anything is fun or popular blizzard likes to remove it.
Few weeks ago it was like 3 different versions of soccer in arcade mode (because yeah we need 3 different versions at once)
The two shortest queue times in arcade is 4v4 deathmatch and bounty hunter. Yet these two modes are the rarest. Even back when they were common they were the quickest queue, so this isn’t a case of a McRib where absence makes the heart grow fonder. It was already something people wanted.

All we can do is keep making it an issue, keep engaging with the topic that claims it’s an issue. I think it’s scummy.
Just glad I haven’t purchased the battlepass yet.
Hear that Blizzard? Want my money? Give me what I want, let me play the game mode.
I wasn’t a fan of 5v5, 6v6 didn’t get role que when they finally added it. TDM was the ONLY reason I kept playing.

I left D4 over half a year ago, overwatch hasn’t got money from me since the original, and Hearthstone i think got $10 from me in the past year. If blizzard would like my money, then they need to give back fun.
Until then i’ve spoken with my wallet, and will continue to post here about it.

Same, I think I will also avoid spending money on Overwatch in the name of 4v4. It’s my favorite game mode before anything else. I’m forced to play boring QP

Are you surprised? Still have multiple event modes in the arcade. If I’m not mistaking you for someone else, didn’t you play ctf a good bit back in ow1? Where like every event it rarely popped up till it was over. Then back to every other day.

YES I played a lot of CTF in OW1. The regular one, not this CTF Blitz stuff.
4v4, CTF, 3v3. But today Blizz would rather we play Mischief and Magic for 2 days then go back to 5v5 FFA.
It is still not back. No news or reason why this is going on.
Devs just hate their player base
Nearly two months… no 4v4! Just some gimmick modes players dip into for a few matches for challenges then never play again.
