Ever since Echo was released and the payload was changed, it has since been basically an empty open case. So why are we pushing this; for scrap? I doubt the Deadlock gang would use it for spare parts.
The Numbani payload was changed when Doomfist was released since it was just a broken glass container. So what should the Route 66 payload change to if Echo’s container no longer serves a purpose, my proposal would be a box full of ammunition.
The objectives you play don’t have a PVE purpose, it’s purely PVP.
So yes, the map reflect canon setup kind of - but there are no heroes fighing to push the payload or stop it.
Just seems strange the Numbani got a payload change to still make sense, but this didn’t is all.
Who knows, maybe they did have plans to change it but the whole virus thing screwed up the progress.
I’m totally fine that it stays this way, it’s just weird that a map was changed like this before then fixed for logical reasons but this was changed afterwards.

Maybe the Deadlock actually wanted the case instead of Echo.
Time froze. They don’t fix the airport. So why fix Echo’s house. Echo should have special lines when pushing it.

I honestly wish they’d just fix it. Doomfist was released years ago and the events at the airport are long gone.
It looked a lot better before. Clean and polished as opposed to now.
The maps are suppose to make people wonder. It can drag persons to the lore and the bios of the characters. I met a lot of people who don’t know basic Overwatch lore, and how interesting some maps actually are when you look a bit around.

The Hero of Numbani released recently, not only English but in other languages as well. E.g. Polish will be in the first half of the next month.
I think Blizzard will be waiting some months now and will fix it.
