Why is Ashe allowed to use coach gun while rooted? Why are other characters not allowed to do the same with the same restrictions applied?
I’d love to see the what justification people come up with this time to make it seem like the removal of Wraith forms ability to leave CC wasn’t trolling/targeted.
It doesn’t move her, just anyone she hits with it, I assume. I’d be fine with Wraith able to be used, but also keep him in place. Same with Moira fade, etc
probably because it has a double effect, on itself (knockback) and on others (knockback + damage). consequently it makes no sense to deny its activation if it has an effect that is useful in any case to knock back enemies that approach.
Technically we can say that it’s a nerf to Hazard’s ultimate and junkrat’s trap. but it’s literally an honest way for her to react without gaining any movement benefit of her own (which is what Junrkat and Hazard want to counter with that technique, her mobility).
That’s not the inconsistency that I was thinking of. I’m more so talking about the fact that this movement ability is allowed to be used while in a rooted state, meanwhile other characters like Reaper can’t even activate their movement abilities, even though they have secondary effects like invul.
Why does Ashe get the special treatment? Especially when she’s already absurdly annoying.
Presumably because there are two parts to the ability. One directed at her (which is neutralized) and one directed at her opponent (which now works). The trap still prevents movement (the first part), which is what the trap is supposed to do.
In regards to other characters, their abilities are all self-targeting. I agree there’s an argument that if Ashe gets the part of her effect unrelated to movement, so should the others (e.g., Moira’s fade making her immune to damage for its duration but not letting her move), but there’s also a logical distinction between the two cases.
did you read the patch ? Ashe has no movement benefit from using the coach
Coach Gun
Can now be activated while affected by mobility locking abilities but won’t move Ashe.
the effects only concern those that involve other heroes, not herself (as instead happens for the reaper ability you mentioned, which is a personal benefit of reaper)
