***talking about hard throwers, don’t derail my post whining about 1 tricks, people having a bad day, or off-meta hero users
With less players being on a team, each player has larger importance and impact in each match. With there being 1 tank and overwatch 2 PVP becoming free to play, what are you going to do about the people who throw all their games intentionally?
Because let me tell, as a console player who has essentially had the free to play experience already, there are people who make accounts and solely throw on them. I’m talking 3% winrate on the characters they are throwing on. So are you going to start banning people who think it’s funny to join comp games and jump off the map all game?
Or will the community need to boost hundreds of accounts into high player lobbies, play 5v5 and jump off the map as tank in streamer lobbies to get them to complain so you actually care about the quality of your game.

Honestly it will be easier to single out hard throwers with 1 less player on each team, and reporting said player will become much easier, and more common, for both teams to be able to see that said player is throwing, look at it optimistically.

Yeah great as reporting works so well at the moment right?

The issue with reporting now, is most people can’t tell if said player is throwing, so often they go un-reported for games on end, I’ve seen it many, many times over the last few years.

I’ve literally seen some guy go from bronze fresh account to silver border with multiple stars over 2 years. He has hard thrown every single game he’s in. He’s been reported hundreds of times and never banned.
Alt account btw. Made solely to throw.

If I’m honest, if blizzard wants to get anywhere with the reporting system, they need to implement hardcore banning on these sorts of accounts and ips…

Agree with both of you on these points, the entire reporting system needs a massive overhaul, but again, I still see hundreds of throwers in a month, the issue still remains a lack of reports.
Among those who can’t tell if said player is throwing, you also get players who are so hungry for even 1 wins worth of SR they refuse to report (even if said player is rage hacking), I’m a PC player so I don’t know how bad it is on consoles first hand, but I can tell you it’s probably not much difference between them (PC and console).

to be honest it’s a hit or miss and with all they have been going through the last few years i kinda see why things were slacking so hopefully with the new take over by microsoft it’s more professional and gets more controlled.

when ow get owned by better compony (ofc not blizzard).
So are we getting account binded to mobile? that way when a player is banned he loses access to the game. Why stop there? hardware ban?
This is why they need unlimited avoid as player instead of f-ing 3 people like seriously who the f decided to keep it 3 don’t they know add unlimited option like every single other F2P game
Had a Lucio in one of my games today who I thought must have been throwing (18 deaths, 4k heals over 10mins), watched the replay back and he was just terrible, went in on his own, didn’t group up, took 1v1s and lost multiple times. He did throw the game, but intentionally? I’m not so sure.
My question is why was this player in a plat lobby? I can only assume he was new to the game. He shouldn’t be in plat. The matchmaker seems very broken and it’s getting worse not better.
