lol @ buffing one of the most obnoxious to play against Heroes by making her (Sombra) even more obnoxious. Invisible hacks + Virus Spread? Blizzard, come on. Just come out and say you’re trolling at this point.
I was gonna come try out Season 16, but… there’s no point now. Sombra absolutely will dominate every single lobby in terms of pick rate now in QP. At least in Competitive she can be banned outright. But they basically just turned QP into non-stop Sombra picks.
Back to Baldur’s Gate I go. Maybe the Mid-Season changes will actually be useful in terms of excising that cancer from the game.
Oh, and LOL @ no Soujorn changes or Ana Nerfs (and I say that as someone who routinely enjoys picking Ana, she needs nerfed). I mean, it’s almost comical how badly these patches are going every season now. I’m honestly worried that Mid-Season patches are going to just be far more detrimental than this.
Maybe once the bans are pretty universal, Blizzard will stop pretending certain heroes are just fine and dandy and actually fix them to be functional within the context of the game.
They didn’t even buff her. They removed two of her perks, one of which (stack overflow) was strong, in exchange for two new perks. From what I’ve tested, neither seem that good.
They gave her basically perpetual stealth again (Which was one of the most complained about things about her kit), and an ability that spreads to every other nearby hero.
In QP, it got to the point where if you won a team-fight and the enemy team didn’t have a Sombra… well, congratulations, now they do. After perks got introduced, she became far more prevalent in QP as an initial pick. Now that they’ve given her back her perpetual invisibility, and gave her an AoE style attack, that’s going to increase even more.
I already gave up on Sombra lobbies a long time ago by stopping my participation when people swapped to her. I’m not gonna jump back into a game that is basically daring everyone to instant-lock her. There’s just no point. She’s completely unfun to play with and against.
Nevermind the fact that 2 of the other most problematic heroes in the game were basically looked at with blinders on and they pulled the ol’ “nothing to see here!” trick and left them free to still dominate the game.
Once they’re basically full-time banned in Comp, Blizzard is going to come back and say “Gee, we had no idea people didn’t like playing against them.” and then still refuse to do anything that actually addresses the core complaints of those characters.
