I can understand ashe, shes fine in my books
widow though, i despise the way that if you dont know the enemy has a widow, theres moments where there is absolutely 0 counterplay you can have to stop her on the first push
if she has an angle where a hawk couldnt spot her, with amazing reflexes shes bound to get at least one person off completely scot free with no way that the enemy team couldve even predicted that shes there

the hero that can one shot cross map being allowed to access 200hps of pocket healing is utter woke nonsense
snipers are to blame for being uninteractable burst damage ranged hitscan to begin with, and then paired with that OP support backline, well that’s quite possibly the worst thing about juno’s release and why i dislike her so much

So this says that you can dive them but the brig Juno combo gets rid of that weakness. So why should widow or Ashe take changes when these two destroy their weakness?

They’re snipers. That’s what they do. Most games that have extra sniper hassles usually shoot from hundreds of meters away in games. So they lead shots to make it fair. But a 40m sniper shot is unheard of for games. That’s crazy close range.

Most other games have long corridor style flank routes, sniper glint, limited ammo, low mobility (no zipline), and you definitely have to swap to fire your smg.
Well balanced games have bullet dropoff and wind considerations.

Refusing to remove widow’s one shot has been the root of a lot of OW’s larger problems.
She’s a server admin in high elos where we just stop playing the game until someone wins the sniper duel. Reworking widow opens up a LOT of options for map design, different comps, different hero design, etc.
The single most frustrating thing about OW’s design team is that they put the vague, unmeasurable concept of ‘hero identity’ as more important than actual balance or fun-factor in game. Not ruining ‘hero identity’ is largely just an excuse to not make needed adjustments to the game.

No, because there’s no reason to. 40m is long ranged in OW and that’s all that matters.
