They won’t heal, they won’t do damage… They’re just kind of there.
I don’t know where this mentality came from where support players are expected to be carried all the time but it really needs to stop.

I’m willing to be that a high percentage of the supports who “won’t heal” are trying to and just can’t get to you.
It’s true that many supports who liked to healbot in early days still haven’t adjusted to the more active support play needed for OW2…BUT, I’ve also noticed that one of the hallmarks of a good player is knowing where the rest of their team is and making themselves healable.

About 90% of the time, if I’m trying to heal you but you keep going into the enemy team’s spawn, I’m gonna let you do your thing and focus on the others that are positioned better.
Or if I’m actually constantly healing you, but you got focused by the tank and both dps, I can’t outheal 450 burst damage bud. “HeEeAaAaLzZzZ” Trust me, I was. (Sidenote: I want a Healing Received stat in the scoreboard as well to show them “SEE?? I WAS!”)
The rest is 5% because I was actively backing up a dps that was finishing a kill and didn’t look in your direction for 5 seconds and 5% because you said something racist/homophobic/derogotory toward another player or are in a flame war about their skill. Learn to be civil and keep that crap out of my games I’ll help you as much as I can.
