But I bought the Watchpoint pack and so far I’ve been having so much fun playing Mercy in the beta. And no. It’s not because of her GA/SJ bug, which I don’t even use. I know I might’ve just committed the greatest sin by saying these words, but I gotta be honest.
I’ve been only playing support daily since the beta dropped, and being able to super jump at will is so satisfying. Very curious to see what changes will be made to Mercy and Moira. But yeah. I just wanted to put this out there. Carry on

You are totally entitled to enjoy the game =).
I personally think they should just have it be a toggleable option in the menu so that people who like the old one better can do that, people who like the new one better can do it instead.
(And they do need to fix the “mercy having an air seizure” bug lol)

I totally agree. I know a lot of people dislike the new way of using SJ, and/or simply want the first iteration back from beta 1. Which I never got to experience since I’m on console.
But cancelling my res, exposing myself to snipers unintentionally, etc., never really occurs for me with the automatic SJ. Maybe it’s a settings issue for some people? I don’t know. But all I can say is I appreciate not being a free kill anymore.
Also yes. Preferably if they could make official SJ an option you can toggle on or off, that would be most ideal. I just don’t want Geoff to remove it, or whoever is overseeing the Mercy changes.
Haven’t had this much fun in a while.

If I spent $40 on the beta and was locked into 3 season passes I might try to convince myself I was having fun too. I got into the beta for free and it’s been terrible on all 3 roles.

I thought I could use the Watchpoint pack skins in the beta… I was wrong. I also thought I could use Medic Brig in beta. Again… wrong.
And I’m not really sure why considering one of those skins is in the live game.
OW2 beta client is treated like PTR, as far as I can tell. They snapshotted your live client some period of time before the beta was released, and you can’t upgrade/modify your collection after that.

Maybe they can make the height of super jump dependent on how long you hold the key down for?

Your opinion is just as valid. I just want the devs to find a good middle ground that satisfies those that love the original tech, and those who prefer the new SJ. Such as myself.
I don’t really feel like one side should be sacrificed in favor of the other. Fingers crossed the mid cycle patch makes everyone happy.
