6v6 is back but tanks are still mad overtuned. Is there going to be balance patches for this mode cause tanks just do too much. Like if they’re going to keep high DPS numbers then they need more steep restrictions on health or mitigation.

Tanks are more oppressive in 6v6 than 5v5. No balance patches are going to change that fact.
He isn’t. His hook still does 5 damage, and since everyone has increased s9 health pools, you can’t one-shot anything besides tracer. He’s worse than he is on live.

They are still more oppressive individually because those were some of the softest balance updates anyone has ever seen for a format change.
Not to mention, them just not reverting the season 9 health updates???

Yeah, but it literally does not matter. Even with proper adjustments, it would still be a tank dominated experience. That’s just what tank synergy entails.

What kind of gameplay are they expecting out of this new 6v6 but now every hero has 50 more HP???
they do nothing right, we all know 6vs6 test will suck, these developers cant even balance 5vs5 with 100% of their attention on pvp

i guess i can live with tanks being the giga role and i do like this better than 5v5. i wonder what the meta would be in higher ranks
i would say nerf the tank role a tad but then no one would want to play them then you have LONG queue times with everything besides tank so yea… dont know
overwatch is more of a moba than arena game, guess i just finally have to admit that or people want that tank/healer/dps thing but have the tank fantasy of living forever and doing tons of damage and healing have that fantasy of them saving everyone with burst healing and immortality abilities
Critiques, especially to the balancing team, is very valid given they overtune any hero with a skin in the shop/ destroy their counters (Widow and sombra for example). 6v6 even in this current format is SIGNIFICANTLY better than 5v5 imo.
We can give feedback and complain even if we get what we wanted, which you might not know this but they originally said the OW1 was going to run along with OW2 so essentially they’re not giving us what we want they’re giving us back what they took.

for the record - I LOVE 6v6 and am having fun with this so far. Hope they continue to patch it though - some of their ideas are so dumb like WHY do old rein mechanics with 1 fire strike / unsteerable charge and go with old hog too… but you’re gonna leave sombra as is in new form, doom in new form, mei in new form etc…
I personally like all the modern heros, they’ll work fine in 6v6 imo they just need their numbers dialed back (im talking about the tanks tho not the dps). Rein doesn’t need 550 HP and a 2k HP shield if he has an off tank to help him that’s insane and giga OP. make it make sense for 6v6 plz and be consistent if you wanna do old hero reworks and new hero reworks… doing half and half is weird with no nerfs even.
