Title. Currently it only serves as something for the devs to laugh at when they are feeling low, laugh at the fact that they think it’s an okay ability.
Are we going to continue for the 11th season pretending it’s not obsolete and completely overshadowed by Symmetra’s teleport, or are we finally going to face this problem directly and get it resolved?

I tried to come up with a rework, but it got no traction.

Reaper:
Hellfire Shotguns
Reduced spread from 20.1 to 10.0 degrees
Reduced pellets from 20 to 10
Increased pellet damage from 2-7 to 8-12
These changes will increase Reaper’s effective range as well as his effectiveness against armor. These changes also reduce the randomness of Reaper’s damage, making his primary fire do more reliable damage.
Shrapnel grenade launcher
Alternate Fire

It should work like in the highlight intro when he rises from the ground so it’s not a 100% headshot for the enemy. Also, it should be faster.

This is what I was thinking as well. It’s better, and it looks cooler.
Just have to resolve the issue of his corpse getting glitched in the ground if he dies while teleporting.

The animation would make no difference for experienced players, they’d still headshot you. But yeah, should be faster and it would be way cooler.
It works perfectly, assuming that it’s intended use is to get out from spawn slightly faster.
New Sym gives every other character in the game a better version of reapers shadow step.
If it is faster (like almost instant it should be done as in the cinematics (a fast trail of thin smoke where he can’t be targeted )
