So role queue, again

I can’t change roles,meaning if i know the team needs more healing or damage I cant affect that. When I’m playing soldier and i have silver healing that is frustrating. And waiting 10 minutes 2 times because a person quit the first game for that to be the experience is a literal leap in the wrong direction. It is my opiniom but it needs to be heard. This game is not fun anymore.

Everything is still completely fair. Think about it like this, what if someone lost a game but could’ve won if they swapped to two tracers. Nobody says that because its not possible and pretty stupid to be honest.

Tell the support to heal more or simply carry harder with solider. Switching to 3 support 1 DPS and 2 tanks is no longer an option.

The truth is, you probably would have lost no matter what you did and random switching would have made it worse. You plug one hole just to open another one. Sure you get healing but now you have no DPS and the enemy team doesn’t die.

that’s been my issue when we didn’t have role queue. I’d switch off damage because the tank didn’t know what to do, but if everyone didn’t immediately focus an enemy down, they’d be immortal. it sucked because you’d make your team composition weak in other areas when you took the initiative to increase the supply for the need that wasn’t being met by other teammates

Wait time for dps is the only thing Role q has changed, stubborn people will still be stubborn, toxic people will still be toxic. Team comp were terrible sometimes before Role q, but it’s for both team most of the time, it has always been a fair system, you get unlucky some time but you don’t have to wait another 6-10 mins to find a match.

And yes, I hate playing tank and healer, and I’m not good at them either, now I’ll play them just for the placements and some people’s match will be ruined because I’m bad.

Your not alone. TBH I don’t even play DPS anymore because as soon as I do, i get matched with lousy healers. I just main support now. The only way to really compete in this game is by teaming up with other like minded players and stop the solo role queuing. Games are only fun when I’ve grouped up with other players who all have mics and decide on strategies before we even queue up.

If you solo queue and and lose, you don’t get rewarded on your solo play. This game only rewards the winning team. :no_mouth:

Yeah man that was always the problem! Not enough heals or tanking so we used to swap from dps to tank/support, not the other way around. I mean have you ever seen your mercy or Orisa thinking screw this useless dps and swap to widow? No sir.

You dont need to change roles anymore. Old system is gone. You are now climbing as every role.

Role queue is not supposed to be fun. The purpose of role queue is to limit your choices and make every game as similar as the last game in order to decrease the amount of fun. Role queue is working as intended.

I do that too if the dps is lacking, the thing is i impact the game as widow. I impact the game as any character when it is the needed change. Think of chokes that need damage to break through. Think of Bastian comps that need more healing to stand a chance against. 2 2 2 is the worst comp

It’s not, though.

It’s actually the best comp for the game, according to Blizzard, and is also the team comp that they balance heroes around.

It may be the comp they WILL balance heroes around from now on, but in the onset there were 4 roles, and for the longest time they kept putting out these hybrid heroes. Theres really no way. And if that is the case going forward just remove dps alrogether from new heroes because we have as many of them as both of the other roles combined. 4 dps 1 support 1 tank is the smart forced meta.
It forces a healer to heal, a tank to tank, and DPS to do damage.

Historically they balanced the game around 2-2-2 (2 tanks, 2 DPS - 1 offense 1 defense, and 2 support).

It wasn’t til the advent of metas like dive and goats that forced them to change how they balance.

That’s why they wanted to return to 2-2-2 so as to have one team comp standard to balance heroes around.

Your team requires less healing and less damage if you take out the opponent quicker and actually utilize the opportunities given to you. If you are dealing effective damage to the opponents and pressure them it will effect your team as well.

If you are at the rank you belong, reduce mistakes and increase effectiveness with what’s given to you, usually your opportunities are limited by your mechanical skill but there are a lot of players who simply have a poor understanding of the game and can’t see past K/D + other main stats thus ignore easy ways to win.

If instead of expecting teammates & maps to be optimized to your needs view them as a challange you have to learn to overcome with what’s given to you.

How do we break hanamura choke v a double shield bastion orisa bap comp with double snipers while I’m playing healer… this is a challenge to overcome. I’m so glad you told me this insight. Switching to a dps capable of impacting this is the wrong call obviously, and the correct call is gittin guder. Thank you.

Avoid and touch the point or speed boost through it if they sit on the point :man_shrugging:
You also got the chance to boop players off the map.

Nevertheless that’s not what you posted above. Sounds like a defeated attitude in general. If you can’t do something about it without flexing I don’t see why you should deserve to win anyway :upside_down_face:

That’s exactly what i posted above. Making the necessary change to impact the game is not possible anymore

If you’re in a bracket where you are outhealing a healer with soldier, you got way more problems than just that. And soldier is the worst dps character in the game objectively right now
