So Riptire is a backpack now?

Anyone remember the “how does Riptire work” threads from a few weeks ago? The one where we talked about how riptire is confusing since it seems to be sentient, but shouldn’t be?

Have you seen Junkrats new Pachimari emote? The tire just kinda becomes a backpack now.

I can believe Junkrat would use the Riptire to store things and then use that thing to blow people up with his stuff inside of it. He seems nutty enough to do that.

But the tire physically transforms into a backpack before your eyes. I can’t link to videos, but you can just look at it.

Riptire is what it needs to be and does what it needs to do.

Yeah it’s pretty wacky, that’s for sure

Just saw it, it is the probably one of the best emotes in the game, it is to emotes as dramatic(hamster) is to highlight intros.
It’s just so darn good.

But OP, I’m pretty sure its an actual backpack, if you look at it, everything about it is different than riptire despite looking similar, junk probably just likes his riptire themed backpacks or something.
Edit: Nvm I watched the whole thing, tire literally turns into a tire themed backpack, it’s not the same object that’s for sure.

My theory is that junk is secretly a magician or even more plausible- he uses vishkar hard light tech or whatever. I will not accept that a scrap metal covered tire that has a motor inside of it and can climb walls, also is a flexible backpack made of polyester/nylon as seen in the emote.

If you ever played heroes of the storm, you will see that its always been a backpack.

He also physically carries the tire on his back in all of his skins… like a backpack

Riptire is overwatch’s number1 most forgettable hero.

I mean Junkrat is a pretty silly and goofy character (as you can tell, by how Blizzard animates him in emotes and his short and such) so they probably thought that the not-so-smooth animation would be alright because he’s one of the less serious characters

Yeah, you’re right. But “like a backpack” is different from" is literally a backpack".

Wanna see the difference? Look at the emote, and watch it change from something that’s like a backpack, to an actual backpack with straps on it and all. Or as this user puts it:

It actually is. Well, not when you’re using any other skin but the default skin. On the default, it looks perfect enough to fit with Junkrat’s wacky cartoon antics.

They’ve been selling it as a real-life backpack for a few years, too.
