75-30 from the explosion, 100 damage over 5 seconds
10 second cooldown
5 meter radius
3.5 second fuse, starts immediately after you throw it.
starts cooldown immediately after the throwing animation is complete
Dynamite has a number of key advantages over Widow’s Venon Mine, more damage, faster activation, cooldown starts right away, a bigger radius, a fuse not based on proximity. I’ve been thinking there’s a better way we can fine tune this concept, to make it reward skill vs spamming it out as fast as you are able. Here’s some changes that I think would do just that.
New Dynamite
100-40 damage from the explosion, 75 damage over 5 seconds.
Cooldown does not start until the dynamite detonates
Cooldown increased to 9 from from 10
Why these changes? A few key reasons
The Dynamite’s damage and ability to build Ult, is shifted from the burn damage, to the actual timing and placement of it. So in other words, you are rewarded more for landing the Dynamite right on someone than just throwing it out, detonating immediately, and farming ult charge.
Since the cooldown does not start until AFTER you hit it, this means you’d get a 9 second cooldown vs missing the shot, having to wait for it to detonate, and getting 12 second cooldown instead.
This puts more emphasis on the skill shot aspect of Dynamite, and less on the damage over time, farming for Ult, and gives players just a tad bit more time to get to a healthpack before dying. These numbers could also be adjusted if needed.
or you know could just nerf/remove the ult generation aspect of it and dont start cooldown untill after it explodes.
though I dont agree with you as it serves well against heavy barrier use as it can bypass barriers and is instead a better reason why they should of added a cleanse abillity soon after ana release avoiding all the lengthy stuns and negative modfiers they have been adding to the game
Im sorry but there’s reason why these kinda threads where the plebs aka the people who knows nothing about the game/how to play it, are making ridiculous suggestions like these as an example, etc should not be taken seriously.
The only question I have is I was under the impression that the DOT was there to help break up positions behind shields specifically… does this affect that much? Sounds like it would be about the same.
I actually think them removing ult generation off of ressurect was an extremely stupid change that was a knee jerk reaction to moth meta. Let’s not do it again.
I really wish the dynamite could be more visible and audible when in the air. I can’t count how many times I miss it with defense matrix before it touches ground. Imagine it is as apparent as Biotic Orb. Give it some flare, some glow, louder noise.
Right, so instead the op as an ashe main should just allow their hero to be ruined because the forums whine about her just like every other hero blizzard touches?
Thanks, I was thinking about responding, but I figured it wasn’t worth it.
For clarity, I literally play Ashe over 50% of the time. Since the moment she was added to the game. I may not be a pro or anything like that, but I know enough about her to give a fair opinion.
i think adding to the burst is going to make the problem worse. Instead of giving the enemy more chance to outheal the burn this just gurantees Ashe more damage. The cooldown alteration is a nice nerf though. Although I think she is fine as current.
Exactly, blizzard buffs her 2 or 3 times and suddenly everyone is raging over her, so you’re just throwing suggestions that wont butcher your hero. I get it. I’m a reaper main who lived through the siege of double shield.
…
People havent seem to understand the point that no is no for reworks.
Also, op is like 2k sr Ashe player, i doubt that they’ll know much about which is good for the game or not.
Which also brings me to the point that the balancing should not be catered for the diamonds & below.
Sure opinions are allowed but should least think about something else instead of reworking an ability which they’re not obv gonna do.
Diamonds and below can still know stuff about the game without being mechanically the best. and also we make up the majority of the player base so our opinions matter. top down balancing is the way to go but our opinions STILl MATTER
This isn’t an overhaul of dynamite. It’s a slight modification. And I guess you’re right. The whiny little masters and gm players who complain about everything should be in charge of balance opinions. Ya know, the ones who went from calling mccree and ashe high skill heroes to non skill garbage the second they became viable? Hmm.
I may not play at a higher level, but it’s mainly because I really don’t want to invest 3-12 months of my life to reach that level of play when everyone at the top seems to be FREAKING MISERABLE. Life is crappy enough as it is, I’m not interested in this game’s competitive scene nearly as much as I was in TF2’s.
I play Overwatch fun, not competition, and the competition is not that fun to watch for me personally. And I’m not alone in that.
Saying my opinion doesn’t matter is really not addressing anything I said, you could at least attempt to argue why it’s a bad idea.
