I have 2100 gold coins. These used to be in challenges but now there are 600 of them in the battle pass, right?
Season 12 BP costs 1000 gold coins. Are seasons always 1000?
There are 2000 white coins in the BP, right? Those are used to buy skins that show in the hero menu, and also some expensive ones in the shop?
There are 80 triangle coins in the BP, if you buy the BP and complete it, and it takes 80 to get all levels of the season mythic, or any other mythic currently in the shop, right? So I could use 1000 gold to buy next season, get all the goodies in that season, and buy the Mercy bundle that returns next season, right? Or in case I don’t complete NEXT season, I could buy THIS season once I complete it, get all the triangle coins, and spend them NEXT season on the Mercy mythic?
No idea how many are in the Battle Pass, they are used to purchase the old Overwatch Uno skins along with whatever they add to the hero gallery for new hero releases.

At the conclusion of OW1 I spent all my coins, so everything I have I’ve gotten playing OW2, and I’ve skipped a bunch of seasons. I have something like 16K white coins and 2100 gold coins. I can buy two battle passes, two mythic bundles, and a bunch of other stuff, having played perhaps half the seasons of OW2. I know individual skins are priced kinda dumb, but it still seems you can get quite a lot of free stuff just by playing the game.
