So I'm on a losing streak - how do I not uninstall

So I’m on a 4 game losing streak by now - got toxic players in every single one of them - I’m about 4 seconds from just quiting this stupid game at this stage and just switching to some single player game where I don’t have to deal with other players.

How do I not ?

I always give up when i dont do well.

4 games? Nothing.

Overwatch isn’t a grind. You don’t earn anything by having a higher ranking. You can’t get a higher ranking without significantly improving.

The more losses you get, the easier your games become.

The more wins you get, the harder your games become.

Personally, I’m far more concerned about an undeserved win than I am an undeserved loss.

It’s easy to come back from a loss but it’s hell working so hard to stay up near the top of your abilities.

this game needs to die first before blizzard does something tbh. theres nothing competitive about their competitive mode.

I’m not talking about the losses themselves - I’m talking about the frustration of it.

How do you deal with THAT.

The same way you deal with frustration in any aspect of life. Rather than go over that here I’d just say Google it. It’s kinda outside the scope of these forums.

I will say that the frustrations in game pale in comparison to those you will likely experience during your career or while raising a family.

Just stay calm and carry on.

Don’t play comp at the last week of the season, people act like its quickplay. Take your SR and run. I’d like it if blizz removed the “X days left” banner on comp next season just to see if it made a big difference.

Just 4? You are one lucky lucky lucky lucky man

But its literally my last chance to play Comp before they add Brig next season and ruin it for the foreseeable future .

You’re 2100~ Promise me that if you drop to 2050 you’ll just stop, ok?

I find duoing with fun/nice people always makes it enjoyable.
When we lose it sucks but at least I had some fun during it

Accept that none of this is in your control except to quit and save your SR. The matchmaking is engineered to keep people playing.

ok

How so ?
It keeps matching me with people who make me want to stop playing…

Dude 4 game losing streak isnt even that bad. I was close to gold 1996 and i dropped to 1862 al though now im back in the 1900s i am fine with it.
The trick is to take small break after 3 loss streak. If it keeps on going just stop comp. It really makes you volatile of a person when you continue on a loss streak. Doing anything hot header is not optimal. Keep your cqlm dudr

Lol! There is a conspiracy theory here on the forums that Blizzard manipulates your SR in an effort to make people play more…

…that completely misses the fact that if it were true people would be happily playing more.

People are not happily playing more so it’s clearly false.

But, you know, formal logic.

4 is nothing my friend. Just take a break. I haven’t played Overwatch properly since Season 6. Not saying you have to wait that long, but just hang in there. You’ll get win streaks and loss streaks. If you’re on a bad lose streak stop playing comp, simple. Give it a week maybe

Quick play is fun. I just go there. Actually I’ve been there for a few weeks now. Haven’t touched comp in a while. Why would I?

A 4 game losing streak makes you want to quit forever? A 4 game losing streak seems pretty normal.

I would suggest taking a break, and don’t play into a losing streak.

Its not merely the number of losses - its the toxic manner in which these losses were gotten.
Every time we lost point A, someone on the team immediately declares that its a lost cause, and that the team sucks.

4 times in a row I got this crap.
It sucks out the will to keep playing like nothing else.

I cannot understand why people give up. I had a mercy change to widow round 3 on numbani. I assume he felt like we could take the point in 60 seconds. We were close with him throwing. I’m sure we could have taken it if he had played mercy.
