So I'm not a fan of the Perks getting mass replaced

So the patch notes hasn’t gone through, be it from what we can see from blizz docs poping up online. Some tools are being moved around, some ones that are rarely used are getting replaced. But aaaaaaaaaalot of good tools are getting lost in the process.

Like the double kiriko TP, resolved one of biggest issues with the hero. That being if you were offensive with your jumps, especially in dives. You simply didn’t have a tool to leave like a flanker or the other more mobile supports would. With the new damage oriented Ready Step that’s replacing it, kind of just not addressing that anymore.

Same goes for the white hat hacker perk on sombra that lets her heal, and sym needing to choose between a beam extension or extra turret were you could have had both at the same time.

Even the silly ones like torb healing armor, feels really in line with the character. And does have it’s niche uses with like orisa or ram.


And it just feels like there just throwing out entire playstyles for no reason.

I could be wrong, as the actual patch hasn’t gone through. But like… genially kind of kills the fun I was having with the transformative feel of perks in the first place.

And would have probably been better with like a grow list of perks, were you could take two minors and majors per character. And just have your own custom kits or something, it’s not like that’s completely out of blue for OW players these days.

Not to say certain perks shouldn’t be reworked or replaced. But like… i’m not excited that like half my playstyles are just disappearing like that.

That one was simply just terrible.
Silly, but absolutely awful.
The one replacing it is a speed boost when his hammer is equipped, which is still silly but actually kinda useable.

Though it begs the question, why are they insistent on Torb having meme perks while others get 4 S+ tier perks?

as sombra i never used the white hat perk but i can see if people enjoyed using it. sometimes i would accidently pick it and man… when your teammates get in the way lol

i remember one match trying to hack a spinbot ball but couldnt since reinhardt teammate

It actually does have some viable interactions with certain tanks, gives him third support vibes that could have been adjusted if it like had some extra range. Some weird slag pulse or something.

I used it whenever the tank or supports were having issues it is a 100hp heal after all, and did well if played more like an ambusher support sort of a thing.

Counter spy vibes.

I get why people wouldn’t use it, but I did like having the option of being the third support.

I am too lazy to look at the list, but they definitely ruined Reinhardt’s perks after they went through all the effort to fix them. That’s weird. And Genji’s new perk is not going to be used over life steal blade making it pointless. Those are the only ones I really know about.

That sounds lame that they ruined Symmetra too. I was just having some fun with her. I got her Gardener skin out of a lootbox. I want her witch skin, though. I have no idea what Symmetra players are talking about, she is great. Maybe I am just a naturally gifted queen or something, but… I like her.

I love playing Kiri, but I acknowledge that double TP was absolute cancer.

A better perk would be to give her the ability to TP without needing a teammate. This would properly enable it to be used offensively.

In very specific niche situations, and even then the perk was terrible even within those situations.

It would’ve been better if it could apply armour to everyone as the old ability did, but as it was it was hyper-niche and atrocious at that niche.

New perk is just objectively better because it isn’t dependent on being up the buttocks of specific characters on your team.

if you used your overpowered mobility cooldown to engage, you shouldn’t get the same overpowered mobility cooldown to disengage too wtf?

double tp was a crutch for bad kiriko players who had crap cool-down management

I don’t think the speed boost is a meme perk. Its extra speed, which would be good to have on any hero.

Unfortunately there’s a speed cap of 75%.

+20% speed is nothing to scoff at, it’ll help you to reposition a lot. It is a bit funny its tied to running around with hammer though, but it does not sound like a bad perk.

Overload? I am so Genshin pilled that I have no idea what you are talking about, but I doubt it’s combining pyro and electro…

It’s when Torb is giving it all he’s got, the ability that makes him run and shoot faster.
