So i was playing earlier today because

this game has always been stable for me. in the NINE years playing i dont think i even crashed to desktop once heh. i mean internet issues are something else tho and yea i have had that happen. when their servers get ddosed or something like that or personal internet issues but thats reasonable i guess

yesterday i crashed to desktop 3 TIMES in marvel rivals…i stopped playing and will no longer play that game till maybe later down the road if they fix their issues… maybe its me since i have an intel 13k series but it seems like tons of people are having problems over there and even having their computer shutdown completely. that would suck lol all i have been getting is crashing to desktop with that unreal engine crash report thing

still it does kind of scare me since if i continue to try and play that game it may sabotage my pc and fry it eventually lol…

i give respects to how stable this game of overwatch is and i am having a bit of rivals withdrawal but ill get through it playing this game more… hopefully

or ill stop playing both heh

Possible PC HDD issue? I’d recommend running “sfc /scannow” from an admin command prompt to verify your OS file integrity.

i already tried pushing alt control delete ingame like someone suggested but that didnt work

seriously tho, if i never have any problem with most games i play and just that game im gonna chalk it up to not playing it

actually i had a problem with games that use shaders or ones that load it. i do hear its an intel 13 issue :man_shrugging:

Subtle errors pop up somewhat frequently at the OS level that cause apps to randomly crash. Run that command – it will auto correct such errors. I’m running an i9-12900k cpu, so it’s slightly older than yours  I use sfc /scannow every time my pc experiences any unexpected crash.

just tried that in the command prompt, guess i have to figure out how to be an administrator now

yea im not pc savy really

and i play sombra the hacker girl. she would be so disappointed in me

Search for CMD, right click on it and select “Run as Administrator.” Then type sfc /scannow at the command prompt and press Enter button.

ok just did what you said and it did a scan

windows resource protections found corrupt files and succesfully repaired them.

uhh i wonder how that happened lol…

maybe i should have married sombra… maybe…

thanks for that but i still wonder if thats a marvel rivals thing. if every game i run has no problems and its the only that does i kind of think of its a just that game problem. i even run cyberpunk with tons of mods on the highest settings with no problem

HDD errors tend to happen when the PC crashes or loses power unexpectedly.

Since OS errors were corrected, your apps should be more stable unless something else other than corrupt OS files is nuking them.

That’s the 1 thing i really prefer about OW, optimization, the fast loading, endgame screen/mvp really quick and skippable, all these little things make a huge difference if you play multiple hours session. Rivals need to improve that asap

hmm… maybe i have to put my computer back on xmp 1 instead of 2. was reading how 2 is better but may be a bit unstable. maybe rivals is the one game showing me that i need to put it back on xmp 1 heh

At the end of the day, stability > performance. Yeah, I’d say go use the more stable settings.

Yeah, Ive been seeing a lot of threads about crashing on the Steam forums. It seems be a worsening issue with MR.
