that said, Reinhardt would only have this assuming double barrier comes back. you wouldn’t be the first to say this but to the people saying he shouldn’t have it but it need to be understood why he would get it in the first place and that it would be a pointless buff unless double barrier came back to pass

That’s the worst idea I’ve heard, even if sigma is changed into an off tank rein and Orisa is still double shield you realize that right

I completely oppose this change. In most gameplay scenarios it’s either irrelevant at best, or detrimental at worst. Giving Ashe/Widow/McCree easier headshots because I walked/got booped off high ground, or went high with Flux is just a huge nerf that he doesn’t need. Grasp change is what he should have from the start, so that one’s good.

Hard disagree - the engagement is still in massive favor of Rein/Zarya and it takes away from the multitasking you could do with Orisa.

Judging by the queue times, most people still like playing DPS more and adding more DPS into the game already saturated with DPS heroes certainly doesn’t help, not to mention systematically nerfing the tanks’ ability to contribute and control the flow of the fight in the front line certainly feels like a shifting focus for the balance team.

It may not damage buff that Rein might need to remain competitive, but he can’t be obsolete either, or we are back at this situation, but this time from his perspective. On the other hand, Rein has been the most reliable tank ever since 2016. Ideally, all the tanks should reliable depending on the map and hero ban rotation.

Yeah, well, I think making fun tanks better than Rein for a while might help tanking. Rein is an extremely polarizing hero a lot of people hate to play.

I wouldn’t use generalizations you can’t back them up. He’s not polarizing for me and I see him as a good balance for what shield tanking is

Rein and Orisa doesn’t synergize and has never been considered a good combo in the games history. Even back before the nerfs, Rein was with Zarya, and Orisa had Roadhog, never each other.
