I know she CAN’T be 28 like the site says, because Torb specifically mentions in his letter to his pregnant wife that Mercy was visiting him in the hospital after he lost his hand.
he even jokes about her needing to work harder on her Nanomachine thing.

So unless Mercy was visiting him and working on Nanomachines at the tender age of 9 - Brigitte has to be MUCH younger then 28.

Brig is probably somewhere in her late teens/really early adulthood. Maybe D.va’s age?

Well, why don’t you take ALL the time references in the various heros’ back stories and see how well they match up?

Hint: Most of them are extremely inconsistent!

Yeah, but this is a pretty big inconsistency.

I mean, I know Mercy is suppose to be a child prodigy and all - but I find it hard to believe she’d join Overwatch before she’s AT LEAST in her teens.

The timelines don’t add up.

She has to be in her late teens (18-19) to early twenties.

Both her appearance and the Mercy-fact in Torb’s letter go against her stated age.

In the letter Mercy is refferenced. This leaves 3 possibilities:

  1. Mercy must have been working for OW since she was a child.
  2. Brigitte is actually underaged.
  3. 37 must be Mercy’s biological age because there is a chance that she used some medical procedures so that she can remain younger. So in theory, Mercy is much older than 37.
    This works exactly like in the Mei case, where she has an age of 31 biological and 40 chronological.

I can’t think of anything else. I will go for option 2, even though is not the preffered one. 3 seems like a strech, but you can’t be sure.

The age in the bio is wrong. Michael Chu confirmed it on his twitter. Brigitte isn’t really 28

I know, so the option 1 is out of the question.Even tough it depends how young is brigitte, so it can still be 1.
This leaves option 2 and 3.

Hero 28 will be a time controlling alien that’s responsible for all the age inconsistencies.

Don’t lower her age too much or the D.va fanbase is gonna have to make a very ‘hard’ decision…
