Anyone have any idea?
6, 8 or 10 hours I dont remember. I do remember Shanghai not being allowed to go out during practice for season 1.
I seem to recall that 8-10 hour days, 6 days a week is not uncommon. As its not unionized, the teams set their own rules on this.
A lot. They pretty much have a standard workweek. They show up to scrims for eight hours a day
Like 12h a day
I don’t think there is any verifiable way. You can believe the people who play a video game for a living or the people who worship them. Those answers will be like 10 to 12 hours a day, if not in the high 20’s.
Or
You can be a rational human being and figure they practice from 4-6 hours a day. In the end, they play a video game, so what a rough life that must be.
there was one american team that did practice 60 hours a week 1 day off per week
they lost every match in OWL
It’s true that there isn’t any verifiable way, but considering how much money the team can win from the OWL, and the sponsorship deals that open up when winning, they would obviously want to be better than any other team, which means they would want to practice more than any other team. This probably means they are all pushing 8-10 hours a day atleast 5 days a week just to try and stay ahead of the competition.
Teams scrim from 12-5 most days. Any extra hours are up to the pros
Lmao thate me
Wel pretty hard actually specialy compared to streamers. Streammers doeant have anny rules they just need to be adleast just play the game and stay interesing to watch (or be a girl).
Actually teams have recently said that they do scrims from 12-5, 6 days a week and any extra hours are up to the pros
Ya, its 2020 and people playing a video game is considered hard…ROFLMAO
In Seasons 1 & 2 it was around 6-10 hours a day for 5-6 days a week.
Travelling this year will cut down on practice time by up-to 40% (I believe it was Harha from the Outlaws that said this). Also not all teams will have constant access to a PC depending on the homestand they’re scheduled to be playing in. Teams in Dallas had time-slots for when they were allowed onto PCs whereas the teams in NY had better access.
Wel 12h is mentally very frustrating.
Bad for memtal health and social skills go down soo damn hard. (Depresion)
Most pro’s dont even stay pro very long.
Oke 100% sure building streets is way harder. It is ofc a job I would rather have than most other jobs.
But not like damnn easy job.
Except it’s their job. They can’t just decide to stop playing when they are bored, feel burnt out or on a lose streak. I get bored/burnt out after maybe 2 hours and I always take a break if I lose 3 games in a row. I did however do a 24 hour live stream for charity a while back and everything after the first 4/5 hours was really taxing knowing I had to continue even when I wanted to stop.
Add on top of that the pressure to win. Sure it’s easier than being a Doctor or a Lawyer, but that doesn’t mean it’s a breeze or that they enjoy it 100% of the time.
I enjoy playing basketball, doesn’t mean I would enjoy practicing 8-10 hours, 5 or 6 days a week to play pro even though my team has lost every match this season. There’s a massive difference between playing casually when you want to for fun and playing non-stop even when you don’t want to because it’s literally your job.
seagull once said that it was 15 hrs a day which is absolutely mental
That still doesn’t make it a hard job. Not even close.
That’s the reason why they went 0-40. Playing the game straight deteriorates your skills.
Taimou said on his stream ~month ago that pros practise the game around 4h a day.
Ik in world cup they siad Koreans even stayed in hotel so they game keep pracising it was owwc 2017
