So how bad was the fire?

Hello,

I sorta went dark for a while with overwatch. Been playing other games. figured I’d give a break. Saw a artist who works on overwatch post his work on a outfit he made and I was kinda surprised.

“they did it. The mad men really did it.”

I was staring at the DVA school girl outfit. I can only imagine what it was like on here. Was there a riot? Did Queen Dva come back praising blizzard.

I did talk with the artist and I asked him what it felt like to know his work was setting the internet on fire. He was happy and glad people were receiving it well and I just COULDN’T not get the line out of my head “Oh, you’ll see your work being used alright. It will be loved on a place called ‘lornhub’ in the next 30 seconds I swear.”

Frankly he did a great job.

I dont like its colors
and it was… well there was some fights over it but not exacly riot i guess. More dissapointment, after all that was not breaking internet skin at all especialy if you dont use certian part of internet

I not gona judge what devs do on internet tho

So it wasn’t on the scale of “Tracer be gay” level of dumpster fire? Damn. I really thought they’d out do themselves with this one.

The only problem i had with it is that mec didnt work with dva at all imo, it looks like something for sentai skin or something.

Did you see Mei’s Honeydew skin that came out the same time?

People actually didn’t care much for it, I saw more love for Mei’s Honeydew skin than D.Va’s.

Yep, as other said; Mei’s skin actually stole the show.

The Mei skin was more impacting for OW fans tbh. Of course some people got upset, the usual cry and hue of objectification, fan service, Lolitism, etc. but in reality it was not anything scandalous and its quite tame. Much ado about nothing.

I too saw silly articles touting that same line of lunacy. Like, we have a talking monkey and you can’t handle that mei’s thighs take lives? Shes satan for a reason.

More of a collective ‘meh’, with a side order complaints about the objectification of female characters.

Most people are either jaded by now or have, you know, seen actual real life women. It was far from internet breaking either way.

I did manage to get another suspension during the whole thing, but that’s another story.

Mei’s is the popular one, which is funny because it looks quite ugly imo lol. The upper half is cute, just hate the lower half.

I just hate Mei. Doesn’t matter whose skin she has removed to wear as a disguise.

Has nobody been on Twitch?

anybody?.. There are RAUNCHIER things on there then Mei’s outfit and there are actual women doing those things.

Mei’s skin is objectification? How. Shes got daisy dukes on. Are women not allowed shorts? If anything I feel that is unfair to men not being able to wear something that short without having issues.

People are complaining about the newest water gym leader in pokemon being sexualized because she wears a sports swimsuit

Your existance is considered sexual now

At least she’s in context.

I can’t think of all that many women who’s first choice of attire for crouching on all fours in a meka would be a mini skirt.

That said, I’m sure there are some. I just didn’t know D.Va was one of them.

tfw you’re considered sexual to no one

You only see the upper half of her body in the meka though

So she could be wearing literally anything ( or not) and you’d probably wont see it

It’s probably more comfortable than the Black cat one :joy::joy:

Can you imagine how stuffy that would be in the tiny pilot compartment?
