So... how bad is the cheating/hacking really?

well i never really look at all my replays searching for cheaters BUT heh had a game as widowmaker and i thought i did well. it was a game in junkertown defense and im all proud that i did well but i did notice one thing… our ashe on the kill feed constantly

went to look at the replay and yea… i think my teammate ashe had soft or hardlock, not sure but it was fishy as hell

what do you guys think?

REPLAY is Z5A25Y

I don’t think you are allowed to say there are cheaters in this game while providing a replay.

Isn’t that against forum rules? I’m pretty sure you can only say this game is riddled with cheaters if you don’t have replays to back up your claim

ahh i have had plenty of threads where i posted a replay but i never stated the players name. i just said this hero or that hero on my team or enemy team

i could always record the ashe’s gameplay with no names attatched… done that before as well

I was just making a joke because usually the people making these claims refuse to provide replays

That would definitely make it easier to watch

Cheating is bad. You dont need to look at replays, they don’t help unless the cheat is absolute garbage. 10 percent or so of the past Top 500 leaderboard has been confirmed cheating by Blizzard. That’s bad. That means its really likely you’ll have cheaters in your GM games every time since there’s 10 players per lobby.

Oh yeah? Do you have a link where they said this?

No, of course you don’t, because you are just making that up, lol.

What are you on? When they do a banwave they perma ban cheaters, delete the account and if the cheating account is in top 500 they remove them from the top 500 leaderboard post season. This has always been the case.

Okay? And they did not remove 10% of the top 500 leaderboard, so what are YOU on?

well it took a while to record and post on youtube for some reason and i didnt even have copyrighted music like i usuall do lol… (no music at all)

so even tho kind of fishy i may be wrong on this ashe cheating but its crazy how she went on a 30 killstreak and she is the main reason the game was such a stomp. here i am as widow thinking i made a difference lol…

anyways video. maybe i am wrong :man_shrugging:

i dont know about that but the other day i saw this jay3 video about a rank 1 player cheating. he was saying the guy probably will get away with a while till the next banwave whenever that will be. i kinda agree with him on that maybe banwaves in general are a bad idea… they do it since they say they dont want to get cheat/hack manufactures a clue on what part of the code they are modifying?

i dont know about specifics but maybe he is right… maybe he is wrong. STILL a hacker cheater cheating/hacking to RANK 1 is crazy

They do banwaves every six months or so. Season 9 was six months ago I think. DPS leaderboard is at 445 players out of 500. 55 were banned. That’s about 10%.

So you are wrong, they did remove 10% of those players.

Yes this person is 100% cheating without a doubt.

I mean you can go in-game and look at the past leaderboards yourself.

It’s not crazy when you realize that Blizzard doesn’t really care about the competitive aspect of the game.

Like this guy is hard toggling against players that have won the OW World Cup and OWL. A high-level game. Hard toggling - the cheater does NOT care about being detected. Actual good cheats are really hard to see in replay. The cheat dev learns nothing when a hard toggler gets banned because you SEE THE CHEAT WITH YOUR EYES. Cheat devs want to know if Blizzard can detect a cheat that is very hard to see visually.

If Blizzard cared about competitive integrity yeah they would cancel this match and perma ban the cheater, I didn’t need to watch more than 5 seconds to see the toggling, obviously. The cheat developer would learn nothing from this account being banned, but they still don’t ban them.

What do you mean resets? There’s a reason there’s 44 pages of 10 players (440 players) instead of 50 pages of 10 players for Season 10 DPS. They were permabanned for cheating.

It doesn’t reset, it doesn’t find the next players who should be Top 500 and then make a new set of 50 pages of 10 players. It leaves it at what it was, except without the banned players. There’s only 438 DPS players on the Top 500 leaderboard in season 10. Please tell me how it reset.

I misunderstood what you were trying to say, but, I’ll check it out. I dunno, you could be right. I doubt it, but you could be.

Fair enough. You can go in-game and look at historical leaderboards. I appreciate your comment.

i watched it, looks like he’s using some sort of cheap aimbot, no walls but aimbot.

It’s literally constant. I’d say most matches have cheaters.
