Bot lobbies. The bot lobbies in rivals after a loss or two are just annoying and embarrassing.
I was at the point where ONE SINGLE loss would net me a bot lobby next match. That’s such an absurd concept and I’m glad overwatch doesn’t do that

If you play in at least a duo you don’t get them anymore. Or at least I never have when grouped.
I’ve never seen that. I don’t know of anybody personally that has had that happen to them either. Now, that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen to you, but if it did, maybe you’re playing at such an extremely poor level that it makes an exception for you, because it shouldn’t be giving you bot games after one loss.
Maybe look up, like I did, if other people have had the same issue and wow, turns out I’m not alone.
A dumb solution to that problem is playing in a duo.
Actually, I was overperforming in each of my matches. I haven’t played rivals in a while and my first match was a bot lobby. My next match I went 21-2 but we still lost and then next match was a bot lobby. I’d go on to win 2 games against players in a row then lose, then bot lobby
Does that sound normal to you?
I wouldn’t be so sure, ever queue up and get instalock mercy weaver backline? Then you get rezed in the open where the mercy staggers herself and you harder? Or weaver grips you on tank at 75% with all your buttons off cool down taking you out of favorable positioning? Convinced those are bots because I don’t get how someone could queue up competitive and then willingly pick those characters to “play” and “play” like that

No it doesn’t, which is why I think there’s something there that isn’t adding up. And I did look it up. There are some people that say they get a bot lobby after 1 loss. There are far more that say they don’t get any at all after 3 or 4 (which has been my experience), some that say they don’t think bot lobbies are even in place anymore because it’s been so long since they’ve had one (I know that one’s not true, but they’re probably grouped) and then there are the far less common ones that say they’re getting bot games after 1 loss, like you.
So like I said, something isn’t adding up there.
So, maybe if people haven’t played for a month or whatever, it puts them in bot games faster for a certain amount of games. Could be a system like that. 
Either way, if you want to not deal with bot games at all, you have options of course.
Not the option you want, I get it, I feel the same way about forced crossplay in OW2. I’d like to turn it off in Quick Play and I can’t on PC, but my options are to play competitive if I really don’t want to deal with it.

Ive actually played with some bots in OW2. Made a thread about it. Snowmanman11 first discovered them last year, at least on the forums. They are awful! Ive also played with them on MR. Also awful, almost quit MR for good because of those bot matches. From what Ive read, players in OW2 use bots to level-up accounts for selling. In MR, it sounds like the Devs use bots on purpose to keep players engaged after loss matches.
Either way, its pretty depressing playing with bots in a PvP. Luckily, I havent seen the bot matches in OW2 in months, so I think we’re safe.
That is the big difference. Players will always cause issues, but having the devs themselves put you into bot matches when queuing up for pvp… if I wanted to play vs bots, I would click the play vs bots option.

Yeah for now but blizzard is testing AI in games for a reason, i don’t buy the excuse of “first 5 games of new players” it doesn’t make sense, especially 9 years after release why would they care now but not earlier

Huh. I’ve never got bot lobbies after a single loss. It seems to be two losses in a row for me.
But yeah, I’d rather they weren’t in there at all.

I was even asking the people in the match with me about their bot matches and they said the same thing about one or two matches
You should consider not jumping to conclusions. Makes you seem like an @ss which based on your post history, you revel in being snarky. Maybe don’t?

Or I explained one of the ways that what you said might be the case. You can be upset about it if you like. Thankfully, I don’t have the bot match problem that you do, sport.

And it isn’t a loss or two. Everyone’s aware that after 2 losses you have a higher chance of being put into bot matches. It’s you insisting that you’re getting regular bot matches after 1 loss.
That’s the outlier that doesn’t fit with what’s been established unless Netease changed it or, like I said, there’s some sort of new player / returning player thing that’s kicking in that people aren’t aware of.

No, not really. Its a perception thing and nothing more. If you play against bots and win to 100% or against terrible players and win to 100%, the outcome, gameplay feeling and reward is the same.
OW also have much more problems than Rivals, so “at least we dont have instant wins” is kind of weak thing to say.
Instead they have cheaters they deserve an ez report. In fact im at the point right now when I see a widow on the enemy team they get an ez instant report before the doors open. Im so tired of snipers in this game.

You so certain about that? Cause if you get too many wins too short of a time suddenly you’ll get players act as if they were bots, only with some made-up names.
