What’s the deal with this? They dropped it in our laps 2 seasons ago, never put it in comp, and it has gotten 0 changes to the mode despite numerous complaints. It basically just clogs up the QP queues because of how frequently people leave them versus actually playing them. What is the purpose of leaving these maps in the game if they’re not doing anything with them?
The question is why it is skipped. I personally skip Control and Flashpoint cause they are longer to grind.
If you only play for getting rid of Daily “Play 3 games queued as all roles” you try to optimize this pain. I play OW2 for 2 months now and still not enjoy playing tank at all and healer in just a small percantage thx to Illari
I could swear flashpoint is in competitive…
Yeah I’m like 99% sure it is, I’ve played on New Junk City a few times for sure
It is in comp, but it does feel rare when i think about it.
Same for Push. Zero changes. Even if they were good game modes (they’re not) I would expect some changes and minor tweaks. But nope just plop them in and throw them in comp without a care in the world so they can check that box and tell their bosses they did something.
Hopefully, they weight the maps based upon how many are in play. Previously, I feel Blizzard weighted matches by game mode rather than by map. In the past, we had something like what felt like 25% escort, push, hybrid, and control which meant 1/8 maps felt like push since we only had collseo and queen street.
If distributed evenly:
8 escort / 30.8%
7 hybrid / 26.95
6 control / 23.1%
3 push / 11.55%
2 flash / 7.5%
Which explains why flash comes up so infrequently.
It’s in comp you can check in the comp menu of playable maps.
