This is a legit question. Who counters hog now? It used to be reaper sort of now I just don’t know anymore. Maybe Ana grenade, but after that then what?
And before anyone says “Coordination counters him” a team shouldn’t be needed to take out one person. I’m looking for legit counters as if I’m gonna play this season I need to know viable options to go to.
ana and zarya do work against him, most characters can counter him but only to a point while ana and zarya can do quite a lot, if reaper, mei and d.va were not in terrible states then they would counter him but they are trash so they dont
zen doesnt counter hog but discord shreds hog if he is being shot and due to lack of shields recently he is always being shot 
also most characters with range can counter hog
A team-coordinated attack…shouldn’t be necessary in a game about working with a team to achieve your goals?

Hell, you don’t even need a team. Just having 2 pepple alone is enough for him to struggle, since Hog excels only at 1v1s, not multiple combatants.
You can also just stick the hell together so Hog pretty much never has the opportunity to get the drop on you without really exposing himself to a quick 5v1 (assuming he killed 1 with Hook combo) beatdown.
Ana excels at countering him cause everything she has negates everything Hog has. Zarya can save teammates from Hog capitalizing on a successful hook. Mei’s good against him provided you keep a safe distance and move unpredictably so as he won’t be able to easily hook you. Lots of long-range heroes work well against him (especially McCree and Soldier cause they can deal a high amount of damage to him in quick succession to force him to retreat or heal). Reaper’s great but only if you can get the drop on him and evade hook. Pharah, well I mean she counters most people in the game anyway so I don’t think she counts as much of a Roadhog counter. Sombra leaves him defenseless upon a successful hack. Tracer can farm pulse bomb off of him and can evade his hook well provided she doesn’t get too close. Baptiste is a great support choice for the same reasons as the long-ranged DPS and Zarya mixed into one. And the list continues.

Hog being hacked will most likely move back.
“Team coordinated attack” is a catch all, anyone dies to a team coordinated attack so yes i’m serious.
Is Sombra enough damage? I see hack as being a useful tool but I can’t see it as a counter without coordination from someone else, unless he goes for a very risky back line flank and he has 0 peel.
unless its 2 mercy’s then roadhog doesnt do well in 2 vs 1’s and even with mercy i killed a roadhog in a 1 vs 1 as mercy(that said i was valking)

I was going to say that now “the team” counters Hog. Which is the same as saying nobody counters Hog. You have to pour so many resources into killing him, it’s unreal. You can hit him with nade if you’re playing Ana, call it out so your team can ignore you, and then shoot him 6 times without missing a shot, and the fatty will just walk around a corner and heal himself, then shoot you in the face.
No one counters Hog and that’s the problem. The best thing you can do is have one person to constantly deny his abilities while the other takes advantage of his immobility or is healing the other person. Mei + anyone or Ana + anyone. kinda
I watched an enemy Ana sleep a roadhog, sat there which what I assume she was using comms saying “Hog is asleep behind us”, he woke up, killed her and other support, and healed his way back out.
I felt so bad for that ana lol
You hack him when he tries to use breathe, then it’s pretty easy to kill him, works for me every time.
Just remember to change your play style from flanker to anti-flanker.
the sad thing is this specific poster doesnt actually want answers he just wants to prove roadhog doesnt have any counters which is untrue
Here goes that one girl who hacks everything, and everyone.
Heroes with crazy ultimates that can farm Hog.
Sombra, Ashe and Echo are great examples. It’s really hard to win when the enemy team constantly has EMP, BOB or Duplicate because the DPS are getting a bite of your Hog.
So what are they please
Zarya, Ana, Sombra arethe hardest counters. McCree, Ashe and Zen can help dealing with him kinda
Unless she oneclips the Hog (which is unlikely), she’s probably going to take more damage from hog and be forced to retreat.
Doom somewhat counters him, you can use rocket punch to cancel TaB and whole hog if you’re quick enough, but doom has a massive hitbox so connecting hooks/hitting almost every pellet isn’t hard.
Same thing goes for hog though, he has a huge hitbox as well so hitting all your shots on him as doom isn’t hard either.
Also Echo, if you manage to make him use his E, just force damages until half health and use your beam to finish him.
He’s big enough to not miss him with the beam, and echo has a small hitbox, it’s harder for him to shoot you down.
That’s a cop out - everyone needs to have their counters to keep a balance.
