Because according to a lot of resident D.va mains on the forums that seems to be the case, all I can say is I wish we were playing the same game because my god she is overtuned and has been since the beginning of S9.

She is far from overtuned. DM is the only thing that makes her stand out from other tanks. Otherwise everyone does what she can do better. It takes a lot of effort to make dva work for mediocre rewards. If anything she is finally decent after being bad for so long but only because her counters are bad.
Keep in mind that the only buff dva got going into season 9 was an ultimate buff that hardly made a difference. So, saying

She was struggling in S8 and before, but ever since S9 she is doing great and I dont think S10 will change that.

Slightly struggling maybe but D.va has never really been a bad pick though out overwatch 2âs lifespan. Itâs just crazy to me that in what is arguably her best state in OW2 is somehow weak according to some people.
Its not. I maybe have seen one or two Dva threads, advocating for Dva buffs (mostly DM back to 15 meters). Otherwise, the current one with âbuff Winston and Dvaâ is the first one I see. 99% of the people think Dva is fine and there are not enough people complaining about Dva that there is a risk of a buff.
But how many of the people saying she is fine actually play her? How many play her in high ranks? Also, remember that dva doesnât have a streamer advocating for buffs like many other heroes do. I mean, somehow everyone is convinced that Doom is bad just because streamers say so when he is actually a top tank rn with several otps in top500.

I think the projectile size increase maybe had done well for her.
She has such a massive hitbox that itâs difficult for even bronze and silvers to miss her, before the s9 projectile buffs. So the buffs on everyone else didnât do as much to her as others imo.
But her bullets have a massive spread, so the projectile buffs were great for her, more shots hitting her targets. And more Micro missiles hitting targets. Including small ones.
Thatâs where her âbuffâ likely lies. Tldr. She wasnt as negatively hit by the s9 changes, and she was more positively hit by them compared to some others.
But i honestly donât know Iâm just theorising. I donât play dva. I play rein. Who is worse.

Youâre not wrong but I didnât include that because it was a universal change that effected every hero. Its also worth mentioning that her damage may be a little more consistent; however, everyone got hp buffs so her overall ttk feels relatively the same. Another thing I found weird is that my weapon accuracy did not improve with dva. I donât think my aim suddenly got worse after season 8. I looked at othersâ profiles and saw this trend as well. I think more shots land but more miss as well so it balances out to be the same. Iâm not sure.

Remember guys: People on their 13th âeducationalâ stream were apparently being consistently multi-killed by a 150hp hero with no defence or mobility getting into melee range and performing a multi-second animation she canât move for.
(Completely offscreen naturally, because why would people who record their every waking moment for a living have recordings of anything?)
The mere hypothetical possibility of D.Va seeing play in an esport that hadnât started yet of a beta that wasnât open of a sequel that wasnât out had half the gameâs Twitch/Reddit scenes spraying out imaginary tier lists calling her EVEN BETTER IN OW2 THAN SHE WAS IN OW1.
Just in case anyone needs a reminder as to how streamers define D.Va being âGood.â

Dva is strong. Not as strong as Doomfist or Mauga, or even Orisa. But strong.
The amount of people with completely overkitted heros who still continue to scream for more in this game is absolutely insane. For once can you people stop downplaying the strength of your mains? This mainly goes for the following mains who have exceptionally great kitsâŚ

Orisa needs a proper nerf to her cooldown cycle, that is the issue #1 with her.
I play dva and I donât think sheâs under powered at all.
She is apparently a monster on console, but she is good on PC. Well, good in that she was one of the few tanks able to handle the insane dps passive at the start of the season, and still remained relevant when dive and rush became the meta.
Now that poke is coming back, dva is going to go back to sadville, sustaining herself on the memories of the few months where she was playable.

At the start of season 9 dva was pretty good but she started to fall off later into the season.

Because she counters Xim lol, xim cheaters can only use hit scan heroes and not just every hitscan since theyâre inherently too trash to run Tracer but heroes like Soldier 76, Ashe, Sojourn, Baptiste, and Widowmaker. Iâm in masters for both support and DPS and the META has become whoever puts the most resources into countering the cheater with xim will win.
False flagging, really? This is why dva players arent taken seriously.
