So dissapointing

Still cannot get into the game. I was looking forward to launch but have just been given the finger by blizzard repeatedly. unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error, unexpected server error,

Same bro, login error or unexpected server error. Wasted hours trying by this point.

Another DDOS attack could be taking place according to some game journal websites.

I was able to get in this morning an last night without any issues sorry this is happening to you.

well the disappointment won’t stop when you actually get in…the game is absolute trash. Very minor sound and gfx changes, a new mode and 3 new heroes. Love how Blizzard is selling this as Overwatch 2 when in reality its just Overwatch 1.5.

There is no freaking DDOS attack, it’s their incompetence as it always has been.

Even Diablo 2 Remastered had queue times and broken servers. Even The Burning Crusade expansion had broken servers crumbling from player activity. Every single thing they release breaks their service every time.

I’m starting to question if it was even a DDOS attack than them actually not being ready.

Lol. Yep. Me this morning: Hmm I wonder if I can play on NA servers finally?

Blizzard: No.

At least it’s not syncerror…
:person_juggling:

There’s no real evidence point toward blizzard lying. But we do have a reason to believe that there is a DDOS attack. Why are servers shutting down at 10:47 when most people are at work or school? They also said there was an attack and I have no reason to not trust them.

they’ve been very untrustworthy these last few years. there’s no real evidence pointing towards them telling the truth. the servers are shutting down at 10:47 am because they didn’t want to spend money beefing up the servers for the week 1 bump all games get.

But not nearly enough players would be taking off work or school to over flow the servers.

I mean maybe but it’s unlikely.

You’re putting faith into a company that drove out so many talented people, even the person who lead Overwatch for 5 years.

The company that sexually harassed its female employees and kept it hidden, even their HR department covering it up. A company that has so much drama and controversy every single year and doesn’t seem to stop.

Yes… I see no reason why they would lie.

About these server issues though, as I said… they always had them every single release for any game. Back when Battle For Azeroth expansion came out, it crashed the entire Battle Net service. You couldn’t play any Blizzard game whatsoever.

So it’s not DDOS, it’s their server incompetence.

At 10:57 where most people are at work? Again I see it as unlikely I just don’t belive that there’s enough players to crash blizzards servers that took off work or school to play day 2 of OW2

this happens every time they release a game though. the barometer for number of concurrent players to crash the servers is probably lower than we think. also, the kiddies that grew up with games in the 80s and 90s are all adults now, a lot of them work remotely/from home. video game time during weekdays morning/afternoon hours is probably up 1000% from what is was just 10 years ago

Its both. The game was rushed. And DDOS attacks are going on as revenge for the SMS

That’s not how servers work at all. You dont “beef up” servers xD That literally makes no sense. DDoS attacks are very common and are really easy to perform, thus why so many games run into this problem. Blizzard’s servers can easily handle an extreme player base with no issues, but DDoS attacks can exponentially add on to the huge amount of data being sent to them.

If you’ve never been around for a Blizzard launch I can see how you could buy the DDOS excuse.

But this is just once again a normal launch and overestimating their servers capacity.

Been this way since I started and that was back with Burning Crusade.

you dont beef up servers? there isn’t a way to increase a servers capacity, or add more servers, etc? what do you mean? how do they work? please explain for me then

Yeah, this is just sad.

Yeah. Hoping it will solved soon. I have doubt if this is DDOS. I remember seeing plenty memes for Diablo 3 with error 37.
