Christfer was against the move at first, it was the idea of the Fusion GM (who apparently didnt even know their relationship at first). This has been backed up by these three as well as other pros (e.g. Kyb, Neptuno)
He’s not entirely wrong in his assertions on T2 overwatch being unsustainable for players lives, but he’s picked the absolute worst way to go about this argument.
No one really cares because it’s not impressive due to who he mains.
Yeah i think it’s not really fair compare to those players who are sweating blood in other tournaments to get in. I mean i get it, everyone should deserve a chance, and i’m actually kinda interested about how far can he go but then those other T2 players should get one chance too. And no sh#t, Chipsa is a really strong player both mechanically and mentally but i didn’t really see him playing other than a few DPS heroes… And he is not nearly as good with other DPS heroes as with Doom so, idk.

It’s just a kick you know where to the players doing the path to pro, it would take less time to reach the OWL if they stream or if they casually had a family member on a team.

And btw i do understand that we should not blame Chipsa for all of this cuz he just got a chance that he’d be an idiot not to accept it… We should blame the OWL especially Philadelphia Fusion.

He’s basically their insurance policy incase of a doomfist meta as neither eqo or ivy are good enough at doom.
He will very likely sit on the bench for the season, which wont affect his career as a streamer. If a t2 player came onto the team to sit on the bench for a year, it would be career suicide.
Chipsa confirmed he’s not a “content creator” for Fusion. He’s gonna be playing. At least if Doomfist is still any good. I dunno if they have any other plans for him besides Doomfist.
I’d love to see harbleu in the league, but I really dont see a team he can go to where he would get any game time. He would be a marketing pick-up more than anything.
