So, can I uninstall OW now? My tiny SSD wants to know

The SSD I use for Overwatch is tiny. But Samsung, so it’s great. Boot and OW, not much else (but launchers)
After I preloaded OW2, it’s got about 2 gigs left.
Can I delete OW1 safely?
I know 2 used some of the assets. Will they stay or will I have a 10 gig download because I uninstalled?

you could, but it wouldn’t really do you any good. OW2 is de facto just an update/patch for Overwatch. If you have already predownloaded OW2 you will also delete that.

OW2 is an update on top of OW1. If you delete it you’ll have to download it all again anyway. If you have 2 gigs left then OW2 is not gonna fit as the preload was like 20 gigs and that goes on top of OW1 (± something after install).

You will be move the game to another disk. 2GB won’t be enough.

The new Overwatch 2 client should use your existing files, so there is no need to uninstall, however, you need at least 50 GB of free space to run Overwatch.
