Not even trolling i played only open queue on console for 1023 hrs and now learned that everyone hates this way in majority. So should i quit? Been asking myself this since the 5v5 change and rework. Also learned nobody cares bout open queue competitive and I actively try to climb it daily. Yea tonight the forums win i think im done. I fell stoopid and out of date playing xbox.
You can play however you wanna, it doesn’t matter. And yes, a lot of people don’t like open queue but that doesn’t mean everyone hates it. I’m a fellow open queue enjoyer myself.

More like nobody cares about open q because the game is being balanced around role q.
Everyone hates playing 3-0-2 comps in open queue because it makes playing anything but 3-0-2 absolutely awful. You kind of have to mirror or you just get ground down.
All this change does is make it so you can play more meme comps instead of seeing a losing team switch to 3-0-2 and force the match to become much sweatier.
Role queue continues to destroy Overwatch. It killed the playerbase and now it has killed open queue.

I don’t understand this post, all that’s happening is tanks are getting less health like it should be.
OQ is the best way to play this game. I only play OQ because I find RQ just so boring. Every single game the same thing, no variety. Oh look, 1 tank 2 dps 2 supports. Yawn.

More like (and people have been saying this since OW2 launched) its currently quite a broken mess that even the people that normally enjoy Open Queue struggle to do so
Hopefully with todays changes it improves because the game mode WAS fine (better than RQ even) leading up to OW2
This can end in only 2 ways.
Either the tanks are still op and people keep picking them or it goes back to dps only teams.
Or it goes back to perfectly normal 1 or 2 tank comps which was the norm before
The popular meme description of the mode doesn’t actually reflect reality

Play whatever you like. They are moving towards having individual balance for non role queue game modes. Next season (today) will see the nerf of Tank health pools in open queue.
People don’t even pick healer when I played it for placement so the memes are pretty much real.
I hated open queue in OW1 but I hate 5v5 more so now I play a lot more open queue.
Same as always buddy, if you are having fun, continue. If OQ makes you miserable, then stop playing it. Nothing new under the sun.
They just balanced specifically for OQ?

I can’t imagine it being 1 tank when many have like 300-400 health. Imo it will either be bad to have tanks at all, certainly a solo tank. Or running 3 will still be good, not as good before, but possibly still the best comp.
My issue is how bad being a solo tank with under 400 health will be. Why is a solo tank being nerfed when the game is balanced around 1 tank?
