This on the other handā¦ is basically introducing an entire world of magic, that we havenāt really stepped into yet.

Chu confirmed that magic doesnāt exist in OW universe and that Zens abilities are not canon. But here is Kiriko teleporting and Kitsune literally existing. They just threw the written lore rules in the bin

Iām gonna assume that all the Asian spiritual abilities are connected to the Iris somehow. Maybe with OW2ās focus on story, weāll get some missions that could try to better explain the spiritual magic of Overwatchās world.

I saw a fox spirit crossing the road yesterday on the way home yesterday, nothing magical about it. If we already have fox spirits on earth today then whatās wrong with a sci-fi environment having them

āMagicā, or at least some form of spiritual energy, has always existed in Overwatch.
A lot of people were just clinging to the idea that OW was a strictly sci-fi genre when itās not and were set on explaining every little detail through science. Itās actually a bit of a mix between sci-fi and āmagicā.

Honestly, we havenāt really seen much of his work. He might have created a universe but it was never delivered apart from tweets etc. New people can easily change things and Iād rather have the shimada dragons be magic than tech
