The Cyber DJ Lucio Twitch drop, which was just announced, reminds me of the Owl Guardian Mercy situation. Back then the skin was available for free about a month after it was sold in the shop, which eventually lead to a refund for everyone who bought it. Now the Lucio skin was put in the shop a little over 24 hours ago and it is already announced to be free. So are we getting a refund as well? Would only be fair to do so.

The lesson is overwatch is never worth money. Everything you buy is eventually free or taken away anyway.

It’s absolutely fine if thats the case months later. But since this happened before and people got refunded it should happen again this time, especially because the time frame is even tighter

On the one hand, you make a good point, particularly given the precedent.
On the other hand, if Blizzard adopts a policy that they will refund a skin that subsequently becomes free, I worry the net effect will be a reduction in free skins.

The skin was on the shop for 23 hours… this isn’t something like a twitch drop of a 1y old skin. There’s also already a precedent with Owl Mercy and that situation wasn’t even as bad as this one.

Goodluck and all, but they didn’t even give refunds back when the shop was bugged and you could accidentally buy things because it was active in the background.

They know they messed up too, the bundle isn’t in the shop anymore so if they never follow up, we legit just got scammed.

Your first mistake was giving Blizzard any money for a reskin
It’s technically not the same. It’s a recolor. Recolors are sold as separate skins at full price.
No refunds to those who finance Blizzard’s shady practices.
You got finessed the moment you decided to spent money in the game on anything beyond the Battle Pass 
The prices are ridiculous.

Nah it just got added yesterday, we knew it existed but it only dropped now. Skin also never had a recolor before
