Really, I’m sick of the day to day entitled posting on here. Is there any wonder why the devs avoid this forum? I’d move to reddit, but redditss just as annoying, but with an added false tone of “UwU love each other! Be nice to each other!” phony tolerance.
Maybe the game’s not bad just because you aren’t having fun? Maybe the entitled whining is why Overwatch is horrible now? Has anyone ever thought of that? I’ll do you one better: maybe some games have to have annoying mechanics in order for them to ultimately work well? You can’t have a game where even tanks get instantly melted to damage, but then have no Immortality abilities, Shields, and Rez abilities. And slowly, you see blizzard walking back horrible changes BECAUSE of that (like with CC for example).

I don’t think its false to want people to get along and also want to have a game that everyone enjoys.
I think that is a perfectly fine desire and lots of people hold it. I also don’t think that game exist and its impossible to make because you’d need a game where everyone wins all the time and is also strong, and skilled, and can express that skill. AND no one is toxic AND if someone plays poorly no one kicks them or pushes them out of the game in any way. AND the game is balanced, has regular content drops, AND is super popular so it has lots of community and social interaction AND that community all is working together and pushing each other up. AND players only ever get things and never lose them.
If you can find/provide a game that does all of that then everyone is having fun and has no reason to get mad at one another. I don’t think any game has to have annoying mechanics to work well.
Correct. Everybody has an idea of what the perfect match should be, what their preferred mode is, their perferred team comps, their preferred enemy heroes to play against on their preferred maps with their preferred outcome (ie a win), and as soon as one of the parameters aren’t met, it’s temper tantrum time. Gotta rage about the matchmaker, the heroes, the modes, the maps, the apparently “rampant” hacking etc etc. It’s so exhausting. Half the people still playing this game really just shouldn’t be. They’d be much happier by leaving and in turn remove a lot of the negativity surrounding this game.
Hard pills to swallow: this game will never be exactly what you want it to be, balance will never be perfect, some heroes will forever be annoying, some heroes will forever be bad, the matchmaker cannot be reigned in any further, your teammates will not always be the best, the enemy will sometimes be better than you, some modes and maps will always suck. If you cannot live with those realities, then just uninstall the game already and save yourselves further misery.
Yeah this is why I come here vs Reddit. We all suck and we’re honest about it. There’s no point taking the forums seriously outside of just getting to talk about what you want with other people.
It’s why I have no problem playing characters people hate. There are so many negative adjectives and descriptors one could use to describe this community, that it’s easier to just pick Sombra and say “We do a little trolling”.

nah, I can understand that, I’ve seen people type gg, ez in games where you’d have for synthetic example, everyone 15 kills 0 deaths stomp, and the winning team says gg
