Is there an unwritten rule about Tracer duels?

Do you assist your ally Tracer or do you let them honorably 1v1 with the enemy Tracer?

The same question can be asked about Pharah duels. I never really know if I should help or not. :rofl:

I think, between normal Tracers anyway, we should kinda have an unwritten rule to ignore eachother for the most part anyway. We both have better things to do. Because an all out, honest-to-goodness Tracer 1v1 during a match (in mid tier) lasts forever and usually never “stays” 1v1 anyway. lol

I mean like if you have a Tracer and the enemy team has a Tracer and they’re going at it? Do you leave them alone until one defeats the other or

If you’re on my team, you can go ahead and Helix Rocket the other Tracer in the face. I won’t be mad, I swear. :stuck_out_tongue:

What Im wondering is how Tracer VS genji duels play out.

Usually as genji I try to ignore the enemy tracers ,but they always seem hellbent on finding and destroying me. (though to be fair ,I’ve been guilty of this too)

Personally, i let my genji Naruto it out with the other genji if i see them going at it.

Same with widow vs widow.

the enemy tracer is DISTRACTED by the friendly tracer. a good tracer doesnt counter tracer, he keeps him busy. what do pro tracers usually do? get behind the enemy team and deals alot of damage right? by 1v1 tracer, you keep that from happening. in the meantime you finish off the rest of the enemy and when you happen to get the chance, you deal with the tracer.

It depends on your hero and their positioning, Zen is designed to help people win 1v1s. There isn’t any honor in this game, if you can take advantage of someone being distracted without putting yourself in danger then do it.

I dont know, man. A good Tracer can counter a bad Tracer.

It’s like a Tracer jedi right of passage.

Especially if they dont use recall
 the disrespect

no you crush the enemy tracer or look stupid trying, it’s not like widow 1v1s or torb hammer 1v1 or mercy valk 1v1s where they are dire, most of the time tracer 1v1s are one tracer fighting the other because they don’t have recall and/or a teammate got them low. (whether it’s comp or not destroy the enemy tracer at all costs)

The only duel that noneone is allow to interfere are the Hammer vs Hammer Torbs, THOSE DUELS ARE SACRED!!!

Hahaha.

I was playing a very late-night QP game with my Lucio main friend last week, and we were on Llijang Tower. I noticed she wasn’t anywhere to be seen in team fights, so I said on voice, “Where are you anyway?”

The game wasn’t serious (as those late night ones rarely are), and she just starts cracking up on voice, so I find her marker


And she and the other Lucio are in the kitchen area (narrow hallway) each wallriding back and forth on a wall shooting at eachother. XD

I feel that counts as a sacred duel you don’t interfere with either, so I just blinked away. But was hilarious nonetheless. XD

Honestly I think it is a unwritten rule if you and the enemy have the same hero, you are bound to 1v1 in that match to process who’s the superior player of that hero.

As a Zen main I hate all Tracers, except the ones that kill the enemy Tracer. I throw all my orbs at them.
