them buffing her and her current kit makes me wonder if they have her rework on hiatus for a while or suspended. maybe they will even just forget about it

I don’t think it means her rework is on hiatus. I think it’s likely because she just simply sucked and was practically a throw pick with how weak she is compared to other DPS. If they buff hitscans and Echo, she gets left behind even more.
Her perks were all pretty low-tier before. Now it’s C tier lol

that is strange since she is the hero i win the most with personally. i play widow and tracer but in no way do i have an advantage with those two heroes over sombra
maybe moira tho..
maybe i just play too much quickplay, its random chaos where sombra thrives in

I mean, her stats are pretty garbo in most ranks.
And with hitscans being buffed they also needed to buff her otherwise the gap would be even wider.

I think it would reflect poorly on Blizzard and be embarrassing for them, but for me personally? Eh. It’s hard for me to know because as far as I know, there’s no indication of what this next rework will even look like.
I don’t think they’re doing themselves any favours because I suspect that they could find ways to make current Sombra more palatable with pure number tweaking, and not replacing Virus or making her puke rainbows or whatever the heck is going to happen with the rework. Leaving Sombra in ban purgatory for all this time is kinda crazy to me.

It would not surprise me. Those freaks seem to not understand the significance of her banrate. I cannot imagine being so inept. It is impossible to conceptualize.

those who have no issue don’t bann her, and these people also don’t need a rework, those who do can just bann her.

Technically it’s buffs, but practically… is there a reason to pick these perks even now? Her gameplay loop works much better with the other set of perks, the ones which were buffed only make her spend more time away from fights

Today I was humble and highlighted Sombra because an actual Hunkrat main wanted to use the mythic. My supports ban my own Sombra. It is IMPOSSIBLE to play her in ranked because you and your friend group are IMAGINARY. You do not exist. She will never slip through the cracks unless both teams want to use her. And that cancels out her uselessness.

thats right, I developmed a habit to insta pick her whenever she happens ro not be banned just because well she isn’t banned that game. 
it is kinda rare but my team often doesn’t bann her when I prefer her.
only started picking her up because she gets banned so much. littleraly no other reason got me into her.
but she’s so F tier its actually funny.

actually i may have had just a bit of de-ja-vu there since i do remember making the same type of thread before the virus rework. they buffed her then a month later did the virus rework i think…?

I think this person was a talking about high ranks only. Sombra doesn’t feel like a throw pick at all if the sombra player has some brain cells. And in metal ranks it doesn’t take much to be able to literally never die on sombra because of how low cd translocator is. A sombra that constantly distracts the enemy and doesn’t die can and will win fights.
The buff was clearly aimed at higher ranks.

just had a game against sigma and ashe…
kind of a stomp since i disabled sigma most of the match and yea, i terrorized ashe. i felt sorry for ashe since the weak link and on an island
i can see the hatred for the hero sometimes (sombra). i dont blame people
i feel naughty playing her also .. sometimes…
i think it was 6 months to a year ago where i had a sombra destroy me as ashe. got a taste of my own medicine at the time. crazy thing its VERY RARE that i run into sombras like that in my elo or quickplay? most of the sombras i see are so terrible… its a strange thing
sorta like how there are a lot of weird/bad moira’s 
i honestly think they’re fine with heroes being permabanned. if they cared, they would reconsider the entire concept of hero bans, so they have to pretend everything is fine because they love the idea of hero bans too much to reconsider. a rework would not even solve this issue, and they know it. hero bans themselves would have to be deleted, and they’re too stubborn to do that.
Issue with that is that her very nature is fundamentally flawed in higher ranks. She is both super predictable and easy to punish. Her playstyle and kit is tailored to preying on the paranoia and lack of focus/game sense of metal rank players.
It just won’t wash in higher ranks because the game is much faster, the players are much better, and every advantage she had previously becomes a handicap.
That’s why there is always a disconnect where Sombra is concerned. I don’t like the term, but she is a metal rank (most of them anyway) skill issue.

This one of those situations were the people playing her, and the people playing against. Are generally not a fan of her kit currently.
While also just being weak.
As for why she banned all the time… I don’t know low ranks think she is over powered or something. Most people Iv’e talked to calls her annoying, then will have a tracer up their bum doing the exact same stick with a one-shot on ult.
