Some people don’t even know it exists because all of the rank is in top500.
If a rando sees a champion title vs top500 title nearly everyone will think the top 500 title is better.
Really 1 of 2 things should happen…
All of Top 500 should exist in champion or delete champion and make GM10 - 1.
Ps. Getting a spray, icon was infinitely better than getting a champion/top 500 title for 90 days. And don’t get me started on how they delete our past comp seasons after a certain time I really love not being able to look up the season i popped off on.
It’s just another point of evidence to show how the devs don’t seem to have any logic in their decisions.
Why did they add the Champion rank? Because GM was too crowded.
What happens when no one is in Champion? GM remains crowded or lower ranks become more crowded.
You’re just jealous that you’re never going to be good enough, so you call the better players cheaters.
I accept I’m trash at the game but don’t call them cheaters. I call them much better players than me, instead of whining and lying about it on the forums.
Pretty much this; also I guess blizzard just wanted to improve the MM for the top players even further. The fact any “regular” top 500 player scrubbing about in masters still has to enjoy a significantly lower quality of games is ridiculous. Due wider MM. Yea you’ll get faster games, by all means. Everyone in the absolute top just ranking camp anyways, so does it really matter?
I mean you can cheat while streaming and good cheats are undetectable to the human eye.
There really isn’t anyone I’d trust that doesn’t cheat because of the situation where there lively hood is directly linked to there performance. I do trust emnogg and ml7 but there still is 1% doubt.
That a said i don’t think all of champion players are cheaters but I’d put it in the range of 30-80%.
My point is, streaming doesn’t disprove cheating and being high rank doesn’t mean you cheating.
I will say though because of the low population of champion cheaters will make a lot more difficult to reach that rank as the population of cheater is proportional to rank.
Top 500 always existed, though. How many champions are in Top 500 now? Actual question, not rhetorical. But if it’s less than 500, moot point kind of, no?
Maybe. I don’t think the number induces as much dopamine though.
I mean think about it this way, most people in ow1 didn’t really say they were a rank 45 peak DPS player, they would say they were a 4454 sr peak DPS player.
Unless they hit rank 1 I guess
T500 is also relative though.
Either way champion was just something to grind for. Sure you could grind for t25 before but you didn’t really get anything for it; it was still just t500 Champion at least gives you something unique.
I don’t have an issue with it; it reminds me of like Street Fighter 6’s Master League where it’s mostly just a thing for top players to compete with each other. But maybe it should just be those players competing like in SF? Idk, don’t think it makes a difference for 99% of players.
I think Champion would have been a good addition of they hadn’t immediately followed it with multiple rank resets. Even if I won all my games (I don’t), it’d take me months to get there because of 10-minute queues at high ranks. But then they’d reset it soon anyway.
game is losing players why they even bother to make a new rank, a new higher rank? what they expected to accomplish? if anything they should remove the lowest rank
