So 8 dollars for a cereal box and a froggy dingle-dangler

I can’t believe this is seriously considered ‘premium content’.

do they have any plans to sell lucios as a cereal? pretty sure you could get the actual cereal for cheaper than that.

For 5 Canadian dollery doos, given our record high inflation, I can STILL buy a REAL box of cereal that will sustain me for about 2 weeks with a REAL froggy dingle dangler that I can stab into my hand and bleed out everywhere for realizes.

The cereal box doesn’t even look good, almost like a scetch. If there were at least many great details or something… nothing.

i used a few souvenirs as orisa in skirmish once, i thought it was funny but nobody cared and just left. i cant imagine actually paying real money for them…

my favs so far
-pineapple pizza
-trophy (makes the other person look dumb)
-the pharah one that i put the free xbox code in for, and never got, and is still locked. bugged, and unaddressed.

Yea I don’t really get the souvenirs… You just randomly show a model of something and it floats over your hand? It’s like they were just searching for something else to monetize and they just threw something together really quick as an afterthought.

How do you activate souvenirs? Is it an emote?

yeah you set them in place of emotes by choosing a souvenir

i just put health pack on lucio, bc i have no interest in paying 8 dollars for the borderlands/apex style weapon charms.

I mean… Go look at Fortnites sales! 12 bucks for a skin! And that is not their legendary stuff! That s**t goes up to 20+ Some packs are 50.

With the success with Fortnite, All game makers want the same and the only people to blame here are ourselves! We enabled it by purchasing this crap!

I think they need to add back lootboxes and level progression! Make skins winable by battlepass progression only then make nicer skins to sell! I feel like that would make everyone happy… Even the people who don’t spend! They still get their lootboxes per level. Idk why they don’t do that.

It would still make money.

it’s not the peoples fault for purchasing overpriced digital cosmetic items, the games are addictive, and predatory. the responsibility falls on the merchants when it comes to ethics and morals. it’s already a proven fact ppl will buy anything, just look at ebay. ppl will even buy dried spit. even if made every single whale quit ow2, that would not stop them from finding another predatory skin scheme, or making a new one. they are the ones who created ow2 monetization, not us.

Yea I think even if they added more currency rewards to the free and paid battle pass like fortnite, it would bring a lot more people into the game. 60 OW bucks (60 cents) for like 5 hours every week just sounds like a bad deal. It’s basically Blizzard saying ‘I’ll pay you 12 cents an hour if you play my game.’ I mean the game is fun, but it’s not interesting for long unless you’re actually unlocking cool things just by playing. Putting an 8 dollar price tag on something as insignificant as a weapon charm and cereal box just shows how little Blizzard values their customers anymore. The mentality seems to be ‘Screw it, just put a price tag on it, maybe someone will buy it.’

That reminds me: why did they choose to jab the dingle-danglers (I straight up forgot the real name of the things thanks to you guys) into the hands of some characters?

Imagine how cool it would be if Sigma had one connected to each of his orbs, and when he attacks, the orbs fly away, but the danglers stay spinning in place? That alone would make me want to buy one.

Because it’s too much to ask the artists to make it attach to the character in a way that makes common sense. I mean, you can’t monetize sensibility in the same way that you can monetize useless digital tat with zero actual value.

It actually is! Nobody forced them to buy these items.

If you know something isn’t right or bad, Or a merchant is practicing crappy ethics w/ their merchandise why give them business?

Sorry… I take account for my actions and don’t blame anyone else for my mistakes, etc.

You don’t understand what I said… I’ll say it again! After the success with Fortnites F2P model, Everyone adopted it. EVERYONE. Overwatch is actually late to the party! Idk how anyone didn’t see this coming.

Fortnites financial success come from PEOPLE BUYING SKINS! You do understand how a business runs I hope.

they didn’t directly force you, but they did just about everything other than that, to get you to spend.

They already have! I still have a sealed box.
