You know what I love? Playing around cover because a hero applies pressure in an entire area by literally existing. I love having to force my DPS on Widow and praying that they are the better Widow otherwise my team just loses. I love that Hanzo can just spam a choke and instantly destroy shields or anything that goes through it. /s

Snipers are not healthy for this game. “Play around me or instant death” is not healthy for this game. If this game prioritised fun factor over zOmG skill reward that most of us don’t care about, maybe the game wouldn’t be nearly as desolate as it is now.

Why do you guys hate aiming so much? I’ve never seen a community get so bothered when someone mentioned an aiming requirement before playing Overwatch.

By the way, you guys are lucky to have Widowmaker. Back in Call of Duty, we could one shot you with sniper rifles, AND equip anti flanking items like insta kill mines, shock mines, and what not.

Not too involved in CoD but can’t you switch weapons/items, have the same health/speed/hitbox and have a much lower TTK?

Its mindboggling to me tbh. As i have never experienced in any other FPS game i have ever played that mechanical skill being frowned upon and witch hunted as much as in a small pocket of the OW community that constantly does.
Every month there is a new witchhunt for whatever hitscan it the most popular that month.
I guess players have to miss on purpose so people wont complain about them?
Do they not realize what type of game they are playing? :man_shrugging:

Widow isn’t nearly as unfun because at least if you go up to her face, she can’t do much and she has to tunnel vision.

Hanzo on the other hand needs a major bashing with the nerf bat. He’s got the whole package with the ability to 1-shot a huge majority of the cast to boot with none of the weaknesses widow has. Hell, he can 2-shot a good chunk of the tanks like widow too

Widow and Hanzo absolutely make Junkertown and Havana(Not going to lie both are terrible design maps) a miserable experience and kinda forces you to play Double Shield.

Yeah, but here’s the thing with that:

Assault rifles will always take a few shots to kill, and you’re best range is relatively close to the target. Shotguns kill in one hit, but you have to be pretty close. Snipers kill in one hit to the chest or head, and you can camp from across the map.

Add that with gear that makes you strong against flanking, and you’re pretty powerful without having to move, AND you don’t have to shoot them in the head to get value. With a UAV, you can see the exact positions of the enemy on the map.

So, it can end up being a more annoying experience than dealing with Widowmaker, and that’s even while considering everyone has the same health and a lower TTK. In fact, Overwatch has the advantage because, if you don’t like getting one shot by Widowmaker, you can play as a tank to soak more damage.

Nobody hates aiming, they think that people like you are wildly overblowing the aim requirements of hitscan.

Hitscan are kind of easy in this game with the giant hitboxes, infinite ammo, and wide open sightlines.

You are aware that Hanzo’s main weakness is the fact that he can’t escape, right? He has two escape abilities and they’re both poor, so he has to be able to fight upclose or he’d be useless. Your best suggestion is getting close to him and forcing him to fight you, but I know you’ll say “Nuh-uh, because then he’ll use his infinity ammo storm arrow and perfectly shoot me in the head 100 times before I can shoot him!”.

I mean, if you are diving him, it’s not like its going to be a 1v1. You are actually contending with the storm arrows AND whoever else is in the backline. That’s enough to melt you as, say a winston.

There are a few issues with that as you can only have two tanks per team (soon to be one) and you can’t switch roles in a match. We had a time where people did switch to three tanks at least twice in metas when it was allowed.

I’m going to completely disagree based on what I see here.

They aren’t mechanical aiming can be very difficult. Its to the point that some of us here can’t even play widowmaker due to her aim requirement alone. Do you understand how big a deal that is?

Prove it. Pick any hitscan in Quick Play and lets see the value. it doesn’t even have to be Widow, literally any hitscan will do.

Winston has no point diving Hanzo at all, but Roadhog could flank, hook Hanzo and kill the person trying to protect Hanzo, too. I just think you guys only see Hanzo’s upsides and think he’s broken without considering the downsides at all.

Snipers are not actually boring to play against, in fact they encourage you to play smarter in the situation and require you to actually think.

We actually have multiple ways in game to deal with sniper and not solely put on the DPS shoulders.

Maybe this game isn’t for you.

Hammond is the best Tank to go hunt Widow, and even Hanzo, have you tried to learn him?

so you are upset that some people dont want to be required to have a high aim requirement? Low aim heroes exist for a reason.

You just said to get in to hanzo’s face. You are describing dive.
