The game is infested with smurfs and it’s annoying. Introducing new friends to this game is really difficult since they are placed against people with over 1000 hours of time played. It explains why the game is in a quick decline.

Smurfs are very rarely at a low level for more than a few games. I created an account to learn Echo as a hitscan main and placed in Plat. Ranking up fairly quickly so I’ll be Diamond soon.
Even with completely different aiming styles I wasn’t at your level for long. Now imagine if someone smurfed and played their main. What would it be, two games before they’re somewhat close to their main accounts rank?
Smurfs aren’t ruining the game. They suck to face, I get it, but they aren’t nearly as common as you think.

they are even in quickplay they go into those games to prey on lower tiers

Qp doesn’t have a competitive ranking system. Those aren’t smurfs.
Buddy. They aren’t smurfing, qp just doesn’t have the same matchmaking system. Are you trying to say high ranked players just shouldn’t play qp?

jesus …maybe ask an adult help you comprehend the simple concept of high skilled players creating new toons and preying on kids in lower tiers QP or in comp… matchmaking has no relevance they are starting new accounts so they can boost their egos by rolling over new players

Maybe understand the fact that qp doesn’t exactly have a good matchmaking system, and creating a new account won’t give you easier qp games…
I get that you get rolled often and you don’t like it, but most of the time it’s absolutely not a smurf.
If you’re complaining about smurfs you obviously can’t hold your own. If you faced an actual smurf you’d just lose, regardless of how good you think you are. You’re in your rank for a reason, and they’re in a higher one for a reason.
I’m not defending smurfing. But smurfs aren’t common, and they aren’t ruining the game. Your skill issue doesn’t automatically mean smurf.
You’re carrying your team against an enemy smurf? You sound like a smurf yourself.

Not sure many players are smurfing any more. They seem to have given up on doing anything against cheaters as there are many videos of them and they remain in game.
While they’re at it, they should stop Yzn’s ego trip by banning his accounts
So quick to escalate to personal attacks…

It’s actually wrong, smurfs are not killing the game, they already did.
This game is already well known to offer the worst competitive experience due to matchmaking, which intentionally creates unbalanced teams to let you win easily and give you the impression you do not sux and you are progressing, and the smurfs just added the gasoline to the fire…

ow2 matchmaking is just a coin toss to see which team curb stomps the other. with the occasional close semi-balanced match inbetween.
