Let us play against players of similar game experience, let us play in healthy competitive system, where players will care about what they do and how they behave.
Every match there is at least one smurf player in gold bracket and lately there are more and more premade groups of them, from 2 to whole team of smurfs?!

Doing t-bag emote over dead body of your opponent is very inappropriate behaviour in any sport (you do promote e-sports right?! Google it to see what it means competitive sport) not to mention chat harassment and insults by this kind players (because who cares if my alt account get ban).
Competitive play should be about fair play, where players can compete against relatively equal opponents keep working on their skills, THAT IS NOT HAPPENING IN CURRENT COMPETITIVE MATCHES !!!
It doesn’t matter what you call them, and it doesn’t matter what this video is talking about. It doesn’t prove anything, the sample size is too small, it’s not scientific, the results are highly questionable, it’s not peer reviewed, etc., etc. It’s a datapoint. It certainly doesn’t conclude the conversation.
But it’s also besides the point.
More relevant is whether or not there’s a good separation of skill between silver, gold, and plat, and whether or not people feel like they’re playing against people at their skill level – MOST OF THE TIME. And in my experience that’s not the case. Silver/Gold players and higher skilled players discussing Silver/Gold will never have the same perspective on what that rank is like, and it probably makes no sense for them to ever discuss it with one another.
Addressing OP’s comments, complaints about smurfs and alt accounts are, in my opinion, really about the following:
A) Players of substantially divergent levels of skill problematically existing in the same rank
B) Silver matches can feel like gold or plat, gold matches can feel like bronze or silver, etc.
C) Players who marginally improve never seem to reap the benefit of improving since the matchmaker just adjusts the difficulty upward for them
D) Winning “too much” invokes difficulty adjustments in the matchmaker such that the winning is stopped artificially (and the idea that these post-streak matches are no more difficult than the prior “40-60%” matches leading up to them is nonsense – and I won’t be convinced otherwise no matter how much people say it isn’t a thing).
E) Previously higher ranked players are dropping into lower ranks because they’ve stopped caring about winning, which greatly increases the skill floor, making it more difficult for the players truly at that rank to climb out of it
In general, competitive is just a big sloppy mess.
So 43% of games have at least one level 50 and under account. And in plat, diamond, and master, even having one of those accounts on your team gives you a greater than 60% chance to win. What happened to the matchmaker not making games where one side has greater than 60% chance to win?
If the intent of this video was to make me believe that smurfs are less of a problem than I had originally thought then it did a really bad job of that.

You sure about that? All your roles are literally 2.2 ish exactly the elo new players are seeded at for their first placement game. If you are still there after 900 levels then I’m sorry but you aren’t really improving much. I doubt you are actually actively trying to improve besides spamming games mindlessly
The vast majority of the level 25s you see are not even good, they are just alts of hardstuck players like you or new players 9/10 of the time. The actual good smurfs don’t spend long in your elo, typically just their first two placements.
Again, you’re using the “just” argument- just code it, just track their IPs and emails. You’re not taking into account whether the supposed “smurf” is just a regular player having a good day or whether you’re having a bad day (tilted, etc). You’re telling me when you were lvl <100, you never got a cool play or outsmarted the enemy? Also you are gold, that is where most new accounts start at, and since having multiple acc’s aren’t against the rules, you will see alts destroying your games because they’re trying to get to their actual SR faster.

This video would make sense if a sub account stopped working beyond level 100 (which is a very low value).
In 2021, even the very occasional players have alt accounts well beyond level 100, I deduce that taking this value as an arbitrary reference can only spoil the experiment.
Another experiment a few months ago estimated that 30% -50% of smurf was constantly present in matches.
In my gold / plat matches more than 50% are accounts below 300, and in 2021 I find it much more likely to associate smurfs with this value (300 is still a very low value) than 100.
the only thing I can deduce from ur ramblings is that gold and platinum ranks have a lot of average players and a lot of hard stucks on new accousnt trying to escape their elo.
First of all I would like that although my opinion is not aligned with yours, it is not denigrated with the term “ramblings”.
The smurfs issue is not limited to gold / plat, but to all elo unfortunately.
Also, also thanks to blizzard, you have no information as to whether those accounts are hardstuck alt’s playing at their best within their real elo.
The information we have today is:
-a community (at least part) that complains every day
figures of undisputed prestige such as shroud or Youroverwatch (but many others) who have publicly criticized the smurfing management and the now unsustainable situation several times
non-existent anti-smurf regulations (clearly criticized even by some prestigious figures)
Whether you share it or not, it has happened and it happens.
If you do not share it, and you believe that in October 2021 overwatch does not suffer from the problematic smurfing, and that everything is fine, I do not share it, but please respect the opinion of others at least in the form, as I do with you, and as the CoC.

I won’t spend time about it, since I don’t find the practice sportmanlike, nor fair.
So over the time i have played this game (sinse beta)…i see players in my games over and over and over. The same player in the same rank as they were months ago. Now u say well they didnt improve like you didnt improve. Nope they are the same players that never miss, that any sain person would think “this guy is cheating”…but they are in the same rank as me. Now after losing to them over and over for 3-4 matchs in a row suddenly they are on my team and they proceed to throw by playing their worst hero and wiffing shots cuz they cant hard throw or they get reported (lol sure they will…) and now because they did this they stay in the same rank with mr making my games harder and harder. I run out of avoids so i cant avoid them all…
I know this because like i said ive played with/against the same players over and over and its always the same, we even have personal banter back and forth at times because we see them so much…now the excuse that those that say “smurfing isnt a problem” will be “oh ur not better then them” but yet when i DONT fighr against them i win sometimes stupidly easy…but when they are on my team or against me i always lose. For some reason these “smurfing arnt a problem” people think a smurf can only be a t500 player playing in a lower rank…nope sorry but a smurf is a diamond playing in a gold/silver/bronze game or even in a low plat game while using a difrent account that is ranked one of those instead so they are hiding their stats and true rank.
There is a big difrence in how a diamond or plat would play vs how a gold siler or bronze would play. Dont believe me…go play QP and u will get put vs bronzes players and next game in QP u will be vs GM+ Payers and everythint in-between.
Blizzs system is designed to keep u playing and “gambling” if u can win or not. Because 5he bigger the player base the more people buy the game the more money bliz makes, its simple business. But i dont think its bliz doing it Activision has taken control and they are becoming EA…soon we will have to pay 20bucks for a skin or a “stuff” pack…and a new OW number X will be realeased every couple years to keep us buying more and more…
So let me get this straight, so these “smurfs” destroy you when you are playing against them, but the moment they get put on your team every single one of them goes like: “Oh no, it is MOOGOTH, we better throw the match!”
