At this point, Im conviced most of the casual players have left the game and its literally only smurf accoutns left. Which means, I guess, that the smurfing problem have solved it self where smurf only play against other smurf accounts because there no regular players left.
YAY! IM 10%
non-regular player here, I can confirm that I might be able to reach Gold+ if I really wanted to but donāt feel like playing hundreds of painful games to do so
With the increase in population after the ranked changes, it becomes obvious only veterans plays this game. So it makes sense that those are smurfs
I wouldnt say so, there are a lot of smurfs for sure, but i wouldnt say its even up to like 30%, let alone 90%.
The thing with skills and stuff in this game is that it differs from person to person, some people have insanely good aim but game sense is awful, and if their game sense gets mended by a team that plays around them, theyll have a fieldtrip with the game, but will also end up losing a lot of other games because of teams that dont do that.
These are the people people often see as smurfs, because their aim is better than it should be for their rank, but their other skills lower their overall skill.
Well people have been wrong with wild theories before.
Smallpackage says smurfing isnāt that big of an issue though so it must be all in our heads.
It likely is, much like the cheater issue.
Replay codes or I donāt believe you.
They lost an awefull amount of players, so they had to make the game free to play so people would make unlimited accountsā¦
Numbers are numbers for Blizzard lol
Replay codes for what exactly?
Make your demands my guy.
There are actually hardly any smurfs. Smurfing is much less rewarding now that you have to unlock new heroes, and you canāt progress battlepass on alt accounts. Also, with the MMR reset, people have no reason not to play main accounts. Itāll be even LESS of an issue next season when group restrictions are removed from competitive.
Until they actually FIX the matchmaker, nothing will ever change.
Pretty sure that means they are the casuals now.
It just means itās another game that is hard to get into for noobs. Since everyone else has 3+ years of play time. But thatās pretty normal with games as they get older.
I can think of more than a few games that work like this.
