Smurfing is soo out of hand

The game has been out 5 years… yet so many people I play with have not managed to get above level 50? what the hell is going on. They seem to know the game way too well for their level.

That right… FIX THE SMURFING PROBLEM.

A smurf isn’t an alt account btw.

why else would you have an alt account, if not to try and get around the system.

To see if you can rank higher or just because you have money and want to see how the MMR system acts on new accounts.

Data collection etc etc.

To play different heroes for example.

A few months back Jeff acknowledged smurfing is a problem and said they’re working on a solution.

You don’t need multiple accounts to play different heroes, especially not now with there being separate SR for each role.

Stop making excuses for cheating (since that’s what smurfs/alts/whatever-you-want-to-call-them accounts are).

I already explained to you multiple times that I use alts for learning and getting better at heroes i am bad at. I dont care if you like it or not. It is my way how to enjoy game so remember it and dont argue about it again next time. I know what I “need” myself.

They’re looking into the smurf issue on Console because they lose revenue with smurfs on that platform. Nothing to address the issue on PC.

Simply put, Blizz is a business, they’ve lost the whole “games by gamers for gamers” a long time ago.

Nobody needs multiple accounts to play multiple heroes. You can play all heroes on a single account with no issues.

Saying you need multiple accounts for any reason is just an excuse to cover up cheating.

I Do, so remember it. I will not discuss this again.

No, you do not need multiple accounts at all. You are choosing to have multiple.

There’s a difference.

Finaly you understand it, now respect it and stop complaining about it. Thank you.

No, don’t go changing your story now.

First you said you need multiple accounts, but now you’re trying to change that into you saying you’re choosing to have multiple accounts instead.

No, I’ll never respect cheating.

You are really testing my patience comixfan. I want to play game in certain way, I pretty much dont like any other game mode except competitive and ffa deathmatch. I do practice new heroes in ffa but thats not team vs team environment and when I feel my skill with hero is bad or simply worse than my elo, I will use the alt account which is placed lower and I can safely play new hero there and learn slowly the hero and try to climb to my elo. This is the way I enjoy the game, I choose to do this because I like to play like that. And because this is the way how I like to play and learn new heroes, I do need to use alt accounts for it. I hope you finally understand. You want to call it cheating? Whatever.

I actualy made exception once and it was with echo after i spend few hours watching the samito so I perfectly new how to play her and had basics from practice so I did play her in my elo as I was confident with her.

As are you testing mine by trying to justify cheating.

There is no justification for it.

No, because it is your definition of cheating. It is not my definition of cheating.

Okay you must be kidding. Are you seriously trying to compare having a second account in Overwatch to cheating? Like - seriously? And you don’t feel goofy or something while typing this? And btw I don’t agree with the other person’s attitude on this forum either but comparing smurfing to cheating really isn’t exactly smart.

And no, I don’t have a second account; I have exactly one account and I’m on PS4.

This forum seems to be way worse than the one in my native language in regard to whining. SR, teammates, matchmaking, smurfs, cheaters, throwers, leaver… and people whine that these collectively destroy every second match. Well, those people must be very masochistic if they keep playing a game where a person literally quits every second game, or they are simply exaggerating.

No, it’s Blizzard’s definition of cheating.

Your definition is irrelevant.

Except it is cheating according to Blizzard themselves and their own definition of same in the reporting system.
