Hello there.

In light of the news of OW2’s new phone verification system, I am attempting to add my current phone number onto this account. However, I have a bit of an issue.

I bought and played Overwatch when I was in Canada – but am now currently living overseas in Vietnam. I still intend to play Overwatch 2 on the Americas server while I am here.

When trying to add my phone number, the country code provided is +1. Because I want to use my Vietnamese number I want to change the country code to +84, but the field is greyed out and I am unable to change it. What should I do?

You have to use a number that corresponds to the region your Bnet account is assigned to.

If I use my Canadian number while I am in Vietnam, won’t I incur fees?

Not sure, that’s between you and your wireless carrier.

It does not really work.
There is no response.

Sometimes you have to wait a few days for ticket responses on account issues.
