Small buffs and qol suggestions for every single hero

because im bored and hopefully a blizzard employee will see this and implement some of it

im not gonna suggest any huge buffs even though i have strong opinions on a plethora of heroes, i am sticking strictly to just quality of life changes and smaller buffs that dont alter the power level of a hero too much and are intended to remove many of the game’s frustrations

this is gonna be a big one so buckle up

d.va - pilot form should just have 200 hp

doomfist (oh boy here we go) - meteor strike should have a taller vertical hitbox in the center ring because HE IS LITERALLY DROPPING FROM THE SKY, please for the love of god fix people sliding off of walls and bouncing off of random geometry and not taking damage from rocket punch its the most annoying thing in the entire game, make it where if you are preemptively holding space before using rocket punch it automatically cancels and leaps you forward without hitting an enemy so that you can still get the mobility from it even if an enemy is standing in front of you, remove the sky view on meteor strike and replace it with an elevation meter that you can adjust by scrolling, and finally REMOVE ROCKET PUNCH VS BRIG SHIELD BASH its such a dumb interaction and considering shield bash doesnt even stun anymore why can it cancel stuff like rocket punch and rein charge it makes no sense

junker queen - the boomerang effect of jagged blade is virtually useless so why not give it actual damage so that she can intentionally miss the knife in order to sweep it through a large group of enemies

orisa - just give her infinite ammo the overheat meter doesnt serve an actual purpose and is more of an annoyance than anything else considering her gun does such low damage anyways

reinhardt - as mentioned above, brig shield bash should not clash against charge its a stupid interaction and reinhardt should win against brig all day every day of the week 24/7 no questions asked, other than that honestly the movement slow while deploying his barrier really limits the skill potential of his kit and i feel like he should just retain full movement speed considering other barrier tanks like sigma and winston dont have this problem at all

roadhog - you should be able to cancel take a breather manually as it would add much more flexibility to his playstyle and would make him more fun in general and wouldnt really make him much stronger than he already is

sigma - a long time ago blizzard added a cooldown on redeploying his barrier and ive hated playing him ever since, please remove it and just nerf other parts of his kit because not being able to move your barrier around fluidly makes him so unfun to play

winston - i would actually argue that primal should have less knockback, it would make it a tiny bit easier to juggle enemies and would also make his ult less annoying to fight against

wrecking ball - enemy collision should be fully turned off while you are grappled, i cant even count the number of times where ive gotten awkwardly body blocked by an enemy thus preventing me from gaining any momentum at all

zarya - it would be nice to be able to see the actual health of your deployed bubbles on the ui

ashe - coach gun is a pretty boring ability and i feel as though it should do considerable damage if an enemy is blasted by it at point blank range, maybe lower the spread and allow it to headshot

bastion - same suggestions i made about doomfist’s ult should also apply to bastion’s ult, replace the top down view with an elevation meter that you can change by scrolling the mouse wheel, other than that the hitbox on his grenade is really janky so it could probably use a size increase

cassidy - deadeye should prioritize the enemies that are closest to your cursor when shooting because there have been so many times where ive tried to use deadeye to kill a specific target but because a random other enemy pops out in the corner of my view it shoots them instead and by the time it goes to shoot the actual enemy i wanted to kill they are already behind cover

echo - there should be some kind of visual indicator on the ui that shows when an enemy is within the 50% range needed for her beam to do increased damage

genji - you should be able to directly cancel the dragonblade sheathe animation when the ult ends, its literally just a massive downtime that serves no purpose other than to be annoying and randomly lead to your death

hanzo - his dragon should really just spawn directly in front of him, the fact that you can casually walk towards him to avoid it is kinda dumb

junkrat - revert the trap deploy time change it did nothing positive or productive for the game and certainly didnt do anything good for this character, also concussion mine should not be a deployable that enemies can destroy especially because a lot of times youll throw it at your feet for the mobility and itll just get instantly deleted by some random spam damage

mei - ice wall should not be destroyed by the map objective (the payload and robot) its super annoying and i feel like there is no reason for it not to just block the objective from moving forward until it breaks

pharah - her ultimate is a press q to die button, please give her the same damage reduction that deadeye has

reaper - shadow step should give you a free reload the same way wraith form does

sojourn - you should be able to cancel the aerial version of her slide by pressing space (without the jump of course)

soldier 76 - the recoil on his primary fire is really annoying and unnecessary and honestly id have more fun playing him if it wasnt there to begin with

sombra - would be nice if you and your teammates could more clearly see hacked healthpacks on the map, maybe make the skull icon visible through walls

symmetra - teleporter deploy time should be sped up by like two times, and also her turret cooldown is way way way too long it should be halved from what it is right now

torbjorn - his turret should really just deploy faster so that you can use it in more situations

tracer - pulse bomb should have a much larger hitbox and faster throw speed so that its a bit easier to land

widowmaker - her venom mine should apply anti healing for its duration i mean come on its literally a poison attack and currently its a super useless ability, if not anti healing at least give it a slow effect

ana - the movement slow while scoped in makes you a free kill it should just be removed

baptiste - his healing projectiles should have a larger hitbox and more projectile speed so that you can actually unironically hit flying teammates

brigitte - repair pack should travel faster

kiriko - her reload animation is really confusing and its easy to accidentally cancel it by using her right click so my suggestion is to allow her to reload and use her healing at the same time interchangeably, also PLEASE MAKE SWIFT STEP WORK AT POINT BLANK RANGE ive died so many times thinking oh ill just dodge it with my shift only to have my teammate backpedal into me causing the ability to be rendered completely unusable

lucio - boop has lost a lot of its power now that tanks resist its knockback, maybe just give it a knockback increase to offset the tank role passive

mercy - switching between the staff and blaster should be way faster and there shouldnt be any downtime if you decide to turn into a battle mercy

moira - healing orb should slow down when next to teammates regardless of if they are missing health or not

zenyatta - add an option that automatically applies discord to an enemy that you are shooting towards that way i can save my poor finger from rapidly mashing e throughout a match

finally done anyways feel free to reply with your own quality of life suggestions because i probably missed something

Just wanna point out that your orisa take is horrible, I’ll edit this later with my other opinions

dva has infinite ammo and does more damage than orisa so i really dont see the problem with it

Orisa does not have a low damage output, it’s really high, the damage fall off is what makes it seem weak

with her abilities she does good damage, and im not necessarily saying her primary fire is bad, i just think that the overheat mechanic doesnt really serve a purpose because the flow of her kit will prevent you from ever maxing the meter anyways

You can see hacked packs through walls already, it’s been a thing for a while now.

This would effectively give Mei the ability to instantly contest Payload/Push objectives from a distance. The only other character capable of this is Ashe, and it requires her to use her ultimate as well as potentially factoring in BOB’s travel time.

This would not only make Mei a nightmare to deal with for the Attacking side, as she can instantly stop your progress for a few seconds with a cooldown ability from a relatively safe distance, but potentially make it more difficult to play Mei on Attack because now wall can work against her and her team’s objective progress.

this could be an issue, in which case i would say just allow the objective to pass through the wall without destroying it

A lot of this isn’t really QoL but direct buffs.
example:
Due to the fact that Cowboy now has Dmg Redutcion in the ult, a lot of counterplay was removed and the skill floor was lowered (on a hero that is already easy anyway), I mostly play Widow, I used to try to prevent the ult with a headshot, it was risky, if the shot wasn’t good (miss or too weak) I was dead. High risk, high reward. Now it is de facto impossible for me to take the shot (without DMG boost) because my 300dmg are not enough to oneshot him since he has 337hp.
The same would then be the case with Phrarah.
It makes this ult too easy. With Phara it may still make sense, since you have to be quite close to the enemy and you can also die yourself. But with Cass it was unnecessary.

As an example of what a QoL is:
The DPS passive is deactivated on Widow when she´s using her scope.

This is QoL, when interacting with others is not or hardly affected at all.

to me its quality of life

yes many of them are “buffs” but i dont believe they are to such a magnitude that it would actually alter the powerlevel of the hero

damage reduction on pharah’s ult wouldnt really take away the risk of using it, it would just make supporting/healing her throughout its duration more feasible

as far as the oneshot thresholds on damage reduction go, tbh blizzard could probably adjust that but if you dont kill him on the first headshot you could always charge the next one to 15% and tap him

A lot of these aren’t QoL, they’re just straight up buffs.

Even that is not true. Some are enormous and would catapult the heroes straight into S Tier.
to remove the recoil from S76. no thanks, I don’t need a Noob76 meta.

Ashe would also lose one of her weaknesses, hello? a secondary where the spread is reduced AND it can cirt. that would be 180 damage to the head.
