So I recently bought a Logitech G Pro and set my DPI on my mouse to 800 with a sensitivity of 15. It feels pretty sluggish. I was at 8 before with 800 DPI and it was even worse. Is this a normal reaction to initially changing DPI settings so drastically and Is it really supposed to improve my aim?
you arnt suppose to randomly halve your overall sensitivity in order to improve your aim. what I did was slowly bring it down 1 by 1 and then went even smaller by 0.50, 0.10 and 0.05 as I played until I found the perfect sensitivity
What does sluggish mean to you?
By sluggish I mean with my original Mouse I had a default DPI which I am assuming was probably around 1600. I bought this new mouse and brought it down to 800 to try to get a feel for it and my mouse moves a lot slower. I know that is supposed to happen but I did not think that it would slow down this much. How do you know when you find the right sensitivity?
Check your Windows mouse sensitivity. Make sure mouse acceleration is turned off.
1600 to 800 is HALF the speed, why did you not think that slowing down your mouse by 50% would not be significantly noticeably slower ?
u gotta give yourself time to adapt to the new settings, but 800 dpi is a good settings. btw does the mouse feel too big or too small for your hands? that could cause issues…i threw away my deathadder cause of that
Open windows task manager and check to see if the Logitech drivers are burning all your CPU I had constant issues with them, so bad that I had to give up on Logitech products even though I really like their feature set.
Thank you I will check my CPU usage. Also you’re right I did expect it to slow down but I guess I just did not think it would slow down this much. I really just wanted to make sure that I’m still going to be able to get those flick shots that I am practicing so much.
I see a lot of people talking about making very small changes to their sensitivity to find the perfect setting but does that really make such a difference? For example between say a DPI of 800 and a sensitivity of 8 and like 8.2?
800 dpi is going to feel sluggish af if you’re used to 1600.
Do you aim with your wrist or arm?
What’s the size of your mousepad?
Arm then wrist flick. This is something I’m at least trying to train myself to do at the moment. I do tend to aim with my wrist more than my arm at the moment though. I have a very small mouse pad but I’m looking to get a bigger one
It’s impossible to do good with a small mousepad and low sens. If you have the desk space get a qck xxl.
no one can answer that question for you
EFFECT plays the game on 800 DPI and 5 sens. I cannot do that. I work a very physical job and after nonstop drilling 180 flicks at that sens for 5 minutes it makes my arm feel like it is going to turn into jello and fall off.
just because 750 DPI and 9.50 sens feels right to me does not mean it will feel great to you
Just bought steel series QCK Mass. that big enough?
Should be fine, I had that before but I wanted to try going lower than 1600/2.25 sens.
geez thats crazy low. do you main widow?
No, I main zen/ana/zarya.
It’s not that low… 800 dpi and 4-5 sens is fairly regular I think. 1600 and 2.25 isn’t much different than 800 and 4 5.
