Slow Weekend for OW

Since I passed lv. 200 on the BP a few days ago, I’ve accomplished the main goal I had left for the season.

You can tell this is the tail-end of the season. There’s not much going on, and not really much else I can earn for now.

I was trying to go for All-Star, but I got knocked out of Pro all the way back to Elite. I think I will let Stadium be for now.

I almost completed 250 Stadium matches to earn the Stadium Rookie title, too. …lol.

I tried Invasion. I figured I could beat the 3 missions just fine on the lowest difficulty, but was surprised I lost all of my extra attempts on the second mission to those brain-sucking clouds. It’s probably doable solo, but is probably much easier with friends.

Hero Mastery courses kinda make me feel like I suck. I guess with time and when I get angry enough maybe I can ace some of those.

Duels make me feel like I suck worse. I had several matches where my opponent won each round, or all but 1. I was doing well another match and won the first 3 in a row, lost 2, won another one! …Then ultimately lost the rest of the rounds and the match. I am really just trying to win one match since it’s the only thing incomplete under the “new player” challenge tab.

I hope ya’ll are accomplishing anything you’re trying to on OW for the weekend.

I guess I’m more or less queueing for S17.

You need to play brig, mei, dva or pharah to be able to deal with the brain suckers easily alone on that mission.
And if you’re caught by the stalker beam, gg unless you’re brig, mei, lucio, or pharah.

I usually just do some widow parkour, heat street or zombie survival missions in custom games when i don’t feel like pvp.

A friend and I tried joining a custom game the other day, but it put us on the one map with the conveyor platforms and it was like a weird waiting room with a really long countdown timer. I didn’t understand it

It might have been a skirmish without a clear goal.
Those are good for exploring maps and learning healthpack locations.
Skirmish mode was originally the waitingroom For finding a match in ow1.

Boss battles, rein invasion, zombie missions and any parkours are relatively straight forward.

I’ve been taking a small break from Overwatch until next next season, though I might log in and play a bit today & tomorrow just to get the last set of weekly lootboxes. I completed the battlepass about 2 weeks into the season (as in lvl 80), and since stadium didn’t really hook me, I didn’t really feel much of an incentive to keep playing the base game all that much.

I’m interested in the stuff that’s coming with season 17 tho, particularly the new Moroccan map, it looks very pretty. Still rather cautious and frankly pessimistic about what the future holds for Overwatch overall, cause that’s just the way I am, but in the short term, I am pretty excited for season 17 c:

Same here. I even got to pro 1 on DPS before the “drive” thing of this weekend, played Friday and yesterday (Saturday) and got a big amount of losses going back to pro 5 / elite 1. Stadium just feels like gambling at this point.
