Incoming small rant that has very little purpose:
I guess this is more for people who’ve been with the game long enough to have a lot of the skins…
But am i the only one who tries to set all of my skins to fit a theme?
If not, i would love to hear about everyone’s favorite “Themes” for their skins.
And of course, lets talk about what themes should be possible for all heroes.
Personally, the fact that Lucio lacks a “Medieval” skin.
No wood, rough metal, or “Pirate” like skins for the froggy boi?!
In this same way, Lucio lacks a “Junker” or “Wasteland” skin.
The closest thing we have is “Jazzy” But that doesn’t exactly fit.
Which makes me a sad Fox.
I’m sad.
One of my all time favorite choices for a theme across my skins, is of course the Medieval look. Old weapons, items, and clothes. fur and wood.
Bastion as well lacks a true Medieval or Pirate skin.
Where’s our cannon tank?!

On-topic: Not really, I just pick whatever looks good. I have quite a few heroes using their Halloween skins but that’s just because I consider that one of the best events skin-wise.

This is part of why i wish skins were more themed, and oriented towards the ability to theme them to your liking.
Soldier: 76 also lacks a skin similar to the Medieval feeling.
Who even has medieval skins? Brig and Rein? It’s not like half of the roster has those
I mean, we have Ana’s Corsair, Junkrat’s Bilgerat, Doomfist’s Spirit is quite medieval, along with Orisa’s Forest spirit, Tracer’s recent Hong Gildong is straight out of the past.
Torbjorn’s Magni is always a classically medieval looking skin, along with his Barbarossa and Blackbeard.
Widow’s Comtesse and Huntress.
Mercy’s Sigrun and Valkyrie.
Winston’s new Gargoyle skin fits pretty well.
Pharah’s enchanted armor.
What about Bastion’s Antique and Woodenbot? They look pretty old tbh.
Those are a bit too… Steampunk.
In my opinion.
We went as Furries once with Reaper, Ana, Zen, Lucio and Zarya in their respective fursuits.

Steampunk is one of my fav themes tho, but yeah you’re right. I looked at it from another perspective.

Steampunk is amazing, don’t get me wrong… but it’s not medieval.
I mean, that’s the best thing i’ve ever heard.
I just choose the skin that looks the best… Or the one with the best weapon. I would only theme characters if they were closely related. It would be cute if McCree had a socialite skin. Or a mobster skin. Maybe Ashe can get a lifeguard skin this summer. Reowr.
